Sin raised his violet and red eyes curiously when Maradona seemed weary of being called a princess. In fact, she seemed to quite despise it. Wasn’t she one by birthright? Her father was a King and her mother a Queen? But he supposed… princess also had connotations with heir. Did she not feel worthy of that title? Sinclair nodded to her to affirm that he’d not call her “princess” again, though it also served to himself a bit of a confirmation. He could relate to feeling the need to earn a rank and respect. Though, Maradona seemed to misjudge her sister. Cersei was a princess, and she took that on as part of herself, not as rank to earn. They had different perspective about the word. Sin accepted the difference happily though. He was on the path of a warrior, after all, and that certainly didn’t come to him overnight. He supposed the rank of princess had similar skills that needed to be worked for. Maradona appeared to be of similar mind in this regard.
Maradona also seemed a little uncomfortable talking with him. Sin would have been the same if he hadn’t meant Cersei. He was naturally introverted and thus, social conversation didn’t come naturally to him. He’d had to learn, and it was an exhausting skill to improve. Although he was better at it now, he still found socializing mentally taxing (enjoyable, but not refreshing). Despite the obvious lack of exposure she had though, she handled herself very admirably. Like princess. But Sin was hardly going to tell her that since she seemed to think she was unworthy at the moment of the title.
Sinclair was delighted to know that Cersei spoke of him! His tail waved and he answered her, “That’s correct. I’m Sinclair. I’m glad to make your acquaintance, Maradona.” He smiled at her as his head tilted slightly to the side. Then he asked, “Were you on your way somewhere?”
Since they had walked to each other, he assumed she had a destination in mind. Perhaps she had taken a moment to be polite to him, but he certainly didn’t want to slow her down either. Thus, he wanted to give her the option of going on her way. Though, he found he didn’t really want her to leave either. Already, he thought she was a lot like him and it was always nice to be able to relate with someone. |
