Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

So let your heart, sweetheart. be your compass when you're lost and you should follow it wherever it may go........

It had been a few seasons since my foster mother had passed away, a few seasons of being on my own. While I was still sad about it, I didn't let it get to me because I knew things were going to be okay. I spent my new found days of freedom exploring Moladion, and boy was it fun! There were so many places to see and so many places to go, i'd barely covered half of the whole place; not to mention the pack lands I couldn't explore unless I joined. I was definitely going to join a pack, but I just didn't know which one yet. Packs meant other wolves and other wolves meant possible friends. I'd never had friends before, I think. I suffered from amnesia and I had no recollection of anything that happened before I washed up on the banks of a moladion river. Then my foster mother took me in and gave me my name, Aviias.

I woke up to a beautiful day and couldn't help but yip with happiness. My foster mother had always told me that a beautiful day meant good things were coming my way. I trotted along happily, knowing exactly where I wanted to go: the river. There were so many things to see and I absolutely loved playing in the water. As I trotted I looked down at my paw that always gave me a slight limp. My foster mother explained that it was a birth defect, but I didn't know. It didn't hurt me at all, just made me walk a little bit funny. In fact, when I started running, you couldn't even tell my paw was splayed! It was apart of me, it made me who I was.

I could hear the running of the water near by and I immediately got excited and started running. My tail wagged, as I pushed through the taller grass that surrounded the water. I guess you could say I would never be as good of a tracker as I was a runner, because I missed the scents of the two wolves directly in my path. As I was about to bust though to where they were, my foot caught on a rock and tripped, rolling out to where they were sitting. I was far too clumsy sometimes. Luckily, I didn't hit either of the wolves, only splashed into the cold water, making me yelp in surprise.

I shot up, my purple eyes blinking the water away. I stood and shook the water from my fur, probably accidentally shaking water on the other wolves. A smile lit up my face as I looked over the two pups, one looked similar to my age, if not younger. They both had a similar look, but one was clearly a girl and the other a boy. "HI!" I chirped happily, my tail swinging and my rump wiggling. "My name's Aviias, what are your names?" I asked. I noticed they smelled like packs, but different packs. I wish I belonged to a pack, but I still hadn't picked one out to join yet.

Suddenly I noticed the girl pups paw and gasped, getting closer. "Your paw is kinda like mine!" I exclaimed, my eyes wide with amazement. I held up my paw to show her mine, placing it near hers. "see?" I said. Hers was more twisted than mine, but i'd never met any one with a paw even close to mine before. I looked over to the boy that was laying at her paws and smiled at him with a friendly smile. The boy was small, much younger than me and there for much smaller. The girl was about the same size as me, but I bet you I was faster than her! I was a good runner. My mother always explained how some wolves bodies were made for certain things, well mine was made for speed. And when I looked at them, I looked completely different. I was a mixture of grays, my fur lighter. They had darker fur. It didn't matter what they looked like, or where they were from. I was hoping they'd be my friends.
