Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

There is a wild fire inside you; Burning desire you can't extinguish
Nootau
The heavens had unleashed they're fury upon Moladion. Never have I seen such a storm berate my home. The wind howled and the rain poured with a ferocity that only gods could conjure. Thunder and lightning shook the sky, making my bravery falter just slightly. My orange eyes stared out of the mouth of my den, thankful I had found a place to weather the storm. Water still managed to find its way in, no matter how may little damns I built. Lightning danced through the sky, followed shortly by its partner thunder that shook the ground. I couldn't have been more thankful for my den in Enocra woods than I was now.

There was a loud crack as I was blinded by a flash of light. I knew that lightning had struck a tree not to far from where I was hunkered down. Nature was so powerful and it amazed me how destructive it could be. That poor tree was more than likely splinters now, just imagine what it could to a small wolf caught out in this storm?

I was curled into a tight ball, my tail wrapped over my black nose to keep it warm. My den was damp, from any wandering mist that was blown through the opening, but it did not make it any less warm. In fact, i'd take a damp den over being outside in this storm any day. I closed my eyes, ready to try and sleep the storm away and wake up on a nice day. Then my ears pricked, catching something I nearly missed. I could have sworn I heard a wolf howling for help over the howl of the wind, but I wasn't sure. The howl was like a phantom, no sooner had it been there was it gone. My curiosity peeked and I rose from my spot, going closer to the opening. I wasn't certain on what i'd heard, but I couldn't let a wolf sit out there in this storm who needed someone's help. My bravery swelled inside of me and I shot out of my den, hoping to hide the source of that call.

I ran, being careful of the slippery footing. The whole time, I fought the battering of wind and rain, my coat slowly becoming drenched. It was a bit disorienting, and I immediately began to regret dashing out into the storm without thinking first. But at this point, I was far to committed to turn back. Thankfully, the wind pulled with it the smell of smoke and a few other wolves. I followed it, sure that this was where the howl had come from. I was very unprepared for what I was about to find.

As I neared the scents, I saw a bright orange glow: fire. A tree burned high in the sky and I realized that this was the same tree the lighting had struck not long ago. I charged forward, finding three wolves ramming the tree in a desperate attempt to down it before it set the whole forest a'blaze. The fire was slowly making its way down the tree towards them; they were running out of time. I charged towards it, next to the black male. I rammed my shoulder into the tree, feeling the pain shoot through me. I bit back a yelp of pain as I backed up and again rammed myself into the tree. Maybe together we could knock over the old tree that was surprisingly hollow.
