I�m glad to know that I�ve never earned so much of my father�s traits. He used to be very aggressive and angry, he would not have patience with me and that is why I am like this. What my dad did to me is never to be done to anyone. The pup asked me more questions and I tried my best to reply to them.

- You will just know. You will see� Three steps because then there won�t be time for the prey to react and no less because it wouldn�t be enough to bounce. There won�t be always the need to bounce the prey, but most of the times.

I explained. He would learn for sure it is a wolf�s nature to hunt. I�m a terrible hunter, but still it is enough to survive on my own, even. I believe I can train this pup and make him a good hunter, he will surely be better than me at this after the training. I waited for him as he went chasing the squirrel and then came back. I offered to him to try to catch a hare then and there was excitement in his voice and posture. I smiled.

- Sure you can. But if we do it together we will have more chances! The pack hunts in groups and that makes us stronger, faster and we are able to catch larger prey, some that could even fight us�.

I told him and proceeded to tell him to come and ask him to lay down and roll over. He just obeys and it is good. He was expectant when I told him that this should help him relax and started nuzzling him. It is truly very soothing, but never had I done it in someone else other than my own daughter. In the moment he needed to relax and it wouldn�t be a bad thing.

- This is how you should be feeling when hunting� Being excited is not a bad thing, but when you let your excitement take over you it might break your concentration, make you lose your prey.

I explained, keeping nuzzling him a bit more before lifting my muzzle again and looking down at him, noticing how relaxed he was and smiled gently, happy that it just had the effect needed.

- So� You can be excited, but you can control that urge to chase your prey. So, alright� Let�s find a hare then..

I told him, motioning with my muzzle for him to follow me and waiting for him to get up again.

- If you see a hare, just tell me and we will approach it together.

I told the boy starting to walk and look around. The fields had many hares. They liked these places, especially because of the vegetation. It would be easy to find a hare around, but the pup needed to learn to control the urge to run after a prey, so we would practice it.
