Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Angel in the Dark

Hidden deeply under the rage was worry and fear. Zeteri had trusted the fact that her children would be safe within the boundaries of Taviora and when she found out that they were gone she had feared the worst. But upon hearing that they had been taken away from the protection of the pack by none other than their own father, that worry turned in to a fearful rage. The new mom blasted from Taviora to hunt down her precious babies and, possibly, kill their father. As she continued her mission, the anger chilled and the thought of murdering Amutaq had dulled. He had been a good father to Tuari and Yoska. Always bringing them food and playing with them. He wasn't such a bad wolf, just foolish. When his scent came up again, however, that anger bubbled up once more.

Zeteri waited only a few moments after her call faded away. Then, the sound of little paws echoed through the trees and only seconds later came the form of Tuari bounding towards her. Zeteri let out an excited bark and bolted forward until her daughter crashed into her chest, nuzzling muzzle and wagging her tail. Zeteri, overwhelmed with relief, could only whimper happily as she licked the puppy, her own tail a blur behind her. Golden eyes looked up to see Yoska hesitating a few feet away, a somewhat confused look on his face. Another bark escaped her maw, forgetting for just a moment that her son could not hear it. But the gesture worked and soon mother and son were reunited too. The woods filled with the sound of happy whines and yips as Zeteri checked her children over.

They had grown so much in the few short months that they were apart. Neither pup looked unhealthy, if fact, they looked like they had never left the pack. Both had round, full bellies and their fur had a smooth gloss that shined with health. Zeteri couldn't help be allow her chest to swell with pride as she gazed at her beautiful pups. But the moment was lived when a twig snapped and Amutaq's dark head appeared not too far away. His tail was lowered submissively which certainly helped to minus the destructive force behind the tongue lashing Zeteri let loose.

She charged forward to stand between the pups and their father with her teeth exposed and a deep growl oozing between her teeth. "What the hell were you thinking, taking our children from Taviora IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER!?" she screamed. "They were safe and well protected until you came along! Do you not remember that our son cannot hear danger and our daughter cannot tell us when danger finds her? They could have been killed! Why did you leave with them? Why did you make me worry so much? I thought my children were dead!"

As the last bit of anger began to subside, Zeteri's voice soften as tears began to fall down her cheeks. Seeing the puppies safe and sound had left her feeling drained and her emotions were all jumbled. She panted slightly as her body let the adrenaline of the last few days ebb away. If Amutaq played his cards right, he could leave this situation with more limbs then Zeteri was planning on letting him.
