Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

Ember's bright amber eyes scanned the area as he moved along. He stood tall and proud, his gorgeous pelt bending and creating its optical illusion in the bright summer sun. Ember's appearance was quite sight.. and he knew it. A black-brown top coat while his undercoat was a mix of various orange and red shades. The result? In the sun, he looked like a hot ember, which was the reason for his name. Yes, just about the built of an average wolf, a very soft and near-perfect pelt plus those bright burning eyes of his; he was indeed a sight. This is probably why his ego was as high as ever. A confident tall stance as he walks towards the waters, a half smirk painted onto his pretty face. Body shakes lightly once he's at the water's edge and with a quick leap, he splashes into the cool clear water. The slow movement of the water allows him to freely swim. For being a wolf, he did a lot of this. Swimming, it kind of shook everything out of his mind.

As he dove under, the water being hit by the sunlight illuminated his beautiful optical illusion; he was on fire. "Finally..." he murmurs to himself as he pops out of the water. His paws paddle him onto the shore of the river's bed, where he shakes off the water off his pelt. The best part about him swimming often was that his pelt was kept clean and shiny. He moves with his head held high over to a rocky area, where the dirt wont stick, and sits to enjoy the sun a little. Burning eyes look to the river, watching the slow moving water roll along. A couple things clouded his mind, the first being girls, of course. He was the type of wolf to have girlfriend type companions. Yeah, he wasn't exactly prince charming, which is probably why he was always dumped. Well, most of the time... besides, it's not like he really cared too much. There had been few occasions when he had actually cared for the princess he was with.

The next thing on his mind was a pack. Just as the thought crept into his mind a small summer breeze shook by, chilling him for an instant. He stands, shakes his body, the resumes to sit down. His pelt was drying fast in the summer heat, the breeze helped. Summer was his best season; when he looked his best thanks to the sun. Back to his thoughts, a pack. He wasn't one to live alone. He loved socializing, even though his cocky and sarcastic self usually caused problems. Perhaps this was why he always fit in well with the more infamous packs around the lands, not that he was necessarily an evil wolf. His bad attitude and confident self just sort of arranged him into that category. Finding out which pack he'd fit best in would be a search. Ember was a bit lazy. For now, he would enjoy the summer breeze and sun... at least until his pelt dried.
