The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

She was happy to go out and wander around once more. She had been given a new confidence with her training with Zeteri and Leafshadow and she felt confident that if trouble found her she could out smart anyone with the skills she was learning to hunt. If you could hunt prey why not be able to use them on bigger things, even wolves? Wouldn’t that mean you are the ultimate hunter when you could hunt hunters. Right? Well she guessed that maybe taking them down would be… questionable, but someday maybe she would ask someone else to train her, perhaps even sneak away to Diveen and say she was sent to train with them. Yeah! That would work! She grinned.

Take that Dad.

She giggled at that making her way to this strange place that had been mentioned. That both her teachers were aware no prey was down here it was rocks and darkness, but something drew her down here all the same. She didn’t know what, perhaps her Anselm did, her soul though really she had not caught sight of him since she had met him but sometimes he just felt close… Next time she got those feelings she would be sure to run around and hunt him down. He couldn’t hide from her! She knew he was there and why he didn’t show himself, let himself be known to her she would never know. Perhaps he didn’t like her, or maybe he did. She could never know if she never talked to him right?

Well for now the girl was content with exploring this new place. It was the first time she had wandered further than Enocra Woodland and the different terrains had been pretty amazing. She was used to the constant blanket of a forest over her so when she had made it to the crags it felt strange to have so much open sky. Back under the cover of something felt comforting to the girl now. It was dark, only the light of the entrance and a few cracks allowed her to see. It was interesting, but just like at night her eyes adjusted to the minimal light they were given.

The auburn girl’s form turned, nose twitching and trying to use her new fond tracking skills to find, she didn’t really know, anything. It smelled really strange in this place, dusty and something musky. She couldn’t really identify them, still though she stopped suddenly when she heard a voice call out to her.

She jumped, she hadn’t expected anyone, nor did she really smell the one who had spoke. He must have been around her for a while to have his scent blend with the area. His form was in shadow but she realized she was cloaked as well, she could leave if she wanted but by the size of his figure he wasn’t much bigger than herself and he gave a word of good will. Not that they were always true, but for the moment she would trust him.

The girl stepped forward on white limbs her tail giving a light wave behind her, ”I don’t mean any harm.” She spoke coming into the sparse light narrowing her mahogany and golden eyes attempting to better make out his figure and form. Did he live here? How… weird. She had no idea that the boy was born the same year as she was or that he was born within her own packs borders. How strange it was to find someone like that out here.

”Who are you? Why are you here?” She asked giving a tilt of her head her tone casual but still a bit guarded. Last time she went out she had found her imprint and he was being attacked so she never knew what to expect when exploring the free lands. That was all part of the adventure though.
