aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

His gaze turns to her as her words escape. His muscular, tall body shifts to walk nearer to her, after having taken a couple steps away. His pelt is ever-white as the sky's light shines down above them. His muscles move smoothly through the familiar air. He loved this place, everything about it. The best part... the sky deepening with colors. He remembers the first time he saw them. He fell in love. In love with the land, in love with the sky, in love with everything about Aurora. Deep in his mind, he knew he didn't want to leave this place; that he would always belong here at heart. He would always want to belong... but unfortunately, that wasn't exactly up to him. He wasn't at the top; no. Not anymore. As he nears Blayre, he watches her carefully as she rises, eventually dipping his head under chest as if to help her up with a little support upwards. The feeling of her shimmering gray pelt clashes with his own white head as he tries to support her standing. He gently removes his head from underneath her, slowly as in to make sure she doesn't fall. He only moves slightly away from her, being still near as if to fend off any upcoming threats. His ears skyrocket upward when he hears her wine slightly in pain. His eyes shine and he is quick to respond to her pain. "Don't push yourself... just be careful." his soft words release. He walks along her side, making sure she didn't need help. If she were to begin falling, he would try to hold her up with his head, gently place her down to the ground but she seemed fine now. He lets out a small breath of relief and relaxes slightly as he sees her able to move.

His sense of relief is cut short by her next words. Cody suddenly stops in his tracks, white chest jumps, his head lightly jerks back, and his eyes widen, all as if he had just bumped into a wall of some sort. Wait. Zig? His thoughts ran crazy for a moment. His breath became silent, his face no longer soft but serious and straight. Azure gaze trailed Blayre's body, up and down slowly, then once again. Surely, this may have looked bad... the way he just kept staring at her. But Cody was checking... checking for any sign of Zig within her. He didn't see it. After a moment, he snapped out of it. Perhaps Zig was just looking out for her... but her father? Her body did not show signs of Zig, but still her words dug out answers; piled, one atop the other. Cody shakes his head, and although not all the softness is back in his face, a tenderness does appear. His face did bury a sort of worried look to it along as well. He slowly starts walking by her again, looks to her face with his tender look but hurriedly looks away. "S...sorry about that." he apologizes, his soft tenor voice lowering so that only her ears can catch it. A slight look of embarrassment overlooks him for a second, his white ears slightly moving downwards. He hoped his suddenness didn't spook her.. it was just a bit of a shock to him. Perhaps, he thought, he was overthinking the situation. He could wait to ask his questions once she was safe inland.

Her next words bring a slight smile to his face, and the awkward embarrassed feeling he previously felt seems to fade away from him. He turns his head, his eyes falling onto her face before answering. He slightly opens his mouth, but there is only silence. Where is he from? That seemed like an odd question to ask... only because he had an odd answer. After a silent couple seconds, he finds words. Finally, a question he could answer for her. "I'm from here, I was just... away." he responds softly. If she needed to know all the details, she could surely catch him later, at a better time. Cody wasn't one to give everything away at first. "As of for staying for a while... that's the plan." he finishes his response, his head turning to no longer face her at his last words. His voice softens near the end, and a sense of insecurity takes over his voice. It wasn't up to him... but he did want to stay. After all, his heart told him this was his home. Surely, there were other packs he could go to, but the tenderness towards this land was everlasting.
