News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

fourteen - no heart - Heyel's soul - Spirane
sister of warlow, dam of sven *adopted*

this is her in blackouts

It has ever eluded her as to why some parents had pups when they had no interest in the raising or the bond that could come of it. She had always been present in the lives of her two children many many years ago. She had watched them flourish and flounder with a pride only a mother can possess after creating them in her womb, birthing them, and letting them suckle from her body. It had near killed her when they had both fallen prey to the ultimate being: death. To lose something that you created, something that you cherished with every atom of your body and every nuance of your soul - it is a crushing blow, compounded by the loss of her companion mate. There is very little that can prepare a body for the torment that follows such a vast loss, especially when the creature is Natu, one whose love runs as deep as the ocean and as consistent as a river that never dries.

It was no wonder really that in one of her most tortured moments her baser instincts had taken over and found the one thing that it longed for most of all. A child. Even if that child had not been hers and even if he had hated her in the beginning. Now she felt only a relief at his continued presence and she had claimed him as her son. Whether in his heart he claimed her as his mother, well, that was a decision Sven would make in time. And if he did not then she would be satisfied with his happiness at least.

If she had to be honest then she might think that Raven's coloring and long fur was rather fetching. If only that same coloring did not attest to the bogs, did not come from the creatures that were monsters. She expected this girl to be obsessed with herself, to speak as if Natu was beneath her, to show even an ounce of insanity that had lurked in the eyes of Lillith. Instead she is met with a hoarse voice that housed politeness. Politeness! From an Iromar wolf. Maybe it is rather short-sighted of Natu to feel as she does given she has only met one, although that one happened to be the Queen, but she is rather surprised by the girl.

And the girl offers her deference, lowering her head and obtaining a very submissive posture. It was not in Natu's nature to be overtly aggressive the majority of the time. She would stand up to those who needed it and offer kindness to others as well. Violence only beget violence so it had always been her hope that kindness would elicit kindness. She blinks as she looks at Raven, noting the way she finally lifts her violet eyes and her tail swishes in the manner of friendliness. She finds that she cannot hold on to her bitterness in the face of such, though she will always remain wary, and her own tail moves of it's own accord, an answering siren to the girl to show that she does not intend to assault her.

If anything her face softens as Raven speaks more. It is only fitting that the swamp wolves should ignore their own pups and she feels sympathy for a child who had been adrift in an unwelcoming world. She cannot help but smile kindly now, watching the way Raven lifts her head to survey the mountains with a wistfulness. The mountains could do that to a soul - lift it up and spirit it away.

"It is a shame that your pack does not help in your learning for that is what a pack is supposed to be. A unit that strengthens each other's weaknesses. Come on, I shall show you the mountains and you may see what a pack is really like."

Natu moves to the side as if to invite Raven in. Her icy blue eyes are keen, always searching for signs of deceit and violence. "I am Natu."
