Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

I continued to let the violet of my gaze rest upon this boy my daughter seemed to have some sort of connection to, instinct and age long ago having assured me that that chances were, this boy, was more then just her ‘friend’ as Kane had once been to Isola and Tobias had once been for Aaliyah. In fact, save for Azrael, I am entirely sure near all my children introduced me to their good ‘friend’ at one point and as such I have little to no doubt that Neveah desires his company for far more then fun outings. Really, she could have done so much…well….more handsome really, he was so very average it was almost sad. I allowed such thoughts to drift away, at least for now, merely lifting one eye at the boys words as he claimed ignorance in regards to forests. Alright, maybe damaged fur was not exactly the only reason I seemed to take utter offense at this place. I was young once, I know exactly why boys take girls into forests and wrong season or not I hardly like the idea that they may well be practising. I desire grandchildren from my Neveah, to be sure, yet I highly dislike the idea of considering the implications of it and as such I intended to keep them away from forests for as long as possible. If I had my way we would remove all trees and shrubbery and anything mildly inclined to represent a bush. Orion moved to apologise then to Neveah for daring to risk her perfect coat, that shine within her black pelt inherited directly from her Mother and was thus far to valuable to risk getting dirty. Orion, evidently, was not a truly suitable mate in my opinion. Jaded as that may be.

“I’m pleased to hear it, Orion. In fact you should avoid all wooded areas unless hunting dictates as such, fur suicide is on the rise and I should be very displeased with you if my daughter should return to me in anything less then pristine condition. Am I understood?”

Alright, maybe I shouldn’t be so mean to him and yet Kane still cowers before me should I mention anything in regards to my displeasure about Isola’s appearance and indeed I find I quite enjoy it. I’m old, I’m allowed, when Orion can create life as I have I might be more inclined to listen to his opinion, as it is I shall enjoy this moment- but ruining it. Neveah however, seems perhaps a little more inclined to question my motive, as well she should, any child of mine is designed entirely to intelligent for I breed nothing less then perfection and yet really, she was going to ruin this game entirely and I was far from done with it. My eyes narrowed ever so slightly as I sat before the pair, her words aimed right back at myself with all the skill of any Assassin. Hmm, perhaps I taught her far to much, she is hardly supposed to be able to engage in a true verbal brawl with me now is she? Then again, I do find her wit rather pleasing and wholly satisfying in itself, the barest hint of a smirk moving to trace my lips as her tail waved, green eyes lifting towards my own as she spoke of her fur. Perhaps I was over protective of her and yet after Saintly she had simply become more important, she alone needing me when my other children no longer did and I suppose…..I need to be needed, Neveah so much younger then her siblings, my baby girl and I am hardly willing to hand her over to another boy just yet.

“I have already proven myself impervious to fur suicide over the past twenty or so years, my darling, I have little fear of it’s destruction now and yet I am entirely inclined to believe yours remains at risk, just as I believe Orion will do as he said- and remain free of the trees.”

Violet gaze moved to offer Orion another pointed look before returning to rest back upon my daughter, violet gaze aglow with humour as the barest hint of a chuckle rumbled within my chest before I suddenly stretched, moving to lay myself now upon the earth, one paw folding ovr the other like a female about to hear some truly enticing gossip.

“So tell, what were you two doing here aside from placing yourseleves in mortal danger, hmm? Go on, I’d like to hear a good fantasy story.”

I have no belief they will tell me the truth and yet I look forward to the response either way.
