I Can Be Your Painkiller.
Long ivory limbs sprawled out, intertwined as I lay on my side; basking in the sunlight. Burning jewels dance around, catching the glint of sparkling dew still fresh from this last rain, sprinkling webs attached between grass blades. I had settled beneath the trees before in the woodland, but the warmth of the sun feels more inviting.
My eyes close for a moment, as I inhale the scent of beauty surrounding. The smell of pine tickled my nostrils, and I inhaled once more to relive the lovely smell.
I've been new to this place for two days, and so far I haven't run into much trouble, putting off the stress off keeping my so well guarded walls up. The she wolf in the caves never answered my question, so assuming she had left I made my swift run, and then decided to rest here.
Beginning to fall asleep, my breathing became calm with the fall and rise of my ivory-russet colored belly. This is something I've missed since leaving my own home. Relaxing without a single worry of being bothered, where I can just breathe in clean air without the weary following. This is what I've always done, laze around without even a hint of responsibility.
Sure, I seem like a coward for running. I should've stayed, to take my place as alpha, but I did what I felt best... For me, and the others who remain. My goal is to live my life carefree, and so this is what I do. It makes me feel less alone, when I'm alone. Connecting with the earth in my own time, is something I've always done.
Just dosing off, russet ears twitched to the sound of movement not too far beyond me. Ember, and crimson colored eyes pop open to catch the trespasser, only to find a solid white rose basking just as I. And just beyond that, an elder brute.
I can't tell if he's looking at me, or gazing in awe upon the flower, but it made my fur bristle on edge. I can't just lay here without knowing, so I stand and then make my way as approach.
I can't speak, for my words lodge into my throat as I stare into his multicolored eyes. I'm caught in between a rude greeting, or letting my fuse run short as a dud. He seems calm, and as ease with me, or has he even noticed me yet?
Resting my haunches with query as I gaze at the rose myself, I finally decide what to say. "Why do you seem enthralled by this flower?" Head tilts to the side.
I must admit, I've never been so gentle with another, but this caught my attention before I could even come up with anything else to say.
I waited patiently for the male to speak, to elaborate why he is caught by the beauty of the rose. For some reason I assumed it is for a certain goal, but curiosity had gotten the best of me, and beckoned for me to ask.
