Whispering Shadows dipped his head to each one of them. "It is a pleasure to meet you all. I am, as well, 3 years of age." His eyes met Alisen's. "You keep your brother under well control I see, that's impressive."
He sat down, and looked at the young black she-wolf. "Shy wolves are very common where I am from, so her silence will not offend me." His gaze then turned to the male. "I admire your courage." After making a compliment to the three, as his mother had taught him when he was only a young pup, he looked at the eldest once again. "What brings you to this grand river? From what I have heard while wondering this great forest, I am assuming this is Romance River. Are the three of you just passing through, or all sticking together to find mates?"
Whispering Shadows hoped his question would not offend three, he was simply curious. He himself was a mixture of both answers. He had been traveling for a few moons, and was starting to get lonely. He knew from what other wolves had told him about his route, that Mating Dens were near Romance River, and it would be very strange showing up without a mate. The sudden thought of pups made the black wolf's eyes widen.
If he had a mate, and they were to have pups, this would delay his travels. His mind wondered for a few minutes while waiting for a reply from one of the three wolves before him. He would have to be picky with his mate, have this female match up closely with him, and would have to be a good mother. He glanced at Alisen and Shadow Luna, then away, thinking. He needed a suitable mate, and it may take time to find the right one.
