Bright Moon - a land sullied by mystery and the ravaging scars of a terrible fire. Abandoned as a pack land for years, the terra has been used as a gathering place for the brazen and bloodthirsty drawn there by the lingering pall of death. Yet from the ashes there comes an unordained phoenix, the rainbow hues of hope glinting in her mismatched globes. Through the obsidian drapes obscuring the scenery, she alone was able to catch the perfumed aroma of new life on the breeze and hear the sluggish streams flowing ever swifter into the morning.

Thus, with a purpose, she set out to map the incognita, discovering daily the extent of the reawakening and unearthing within herself a desire to return the landscape to its former glory. Now she stands tall as privileged Alpha of the lands, lording over the rock-strewn prairie and bountiful forests with a firm but gentle paw.

Having finally realized her deepest longing to be a queen, Satowra is focused solely on the revival and maintenance of the Bright Moon Pack. Her question to each prospective warrior that comes to the border is simple:

"Do you have what it takes?"

Summer thought that life would be different once he became alpha, but really nothing had changed. Something inside him had changed, he felt…different. He didn’t know how to describe it exactly but something in him was very different. He no longer was just a member apart of a pack, he was in charge of the pack, in charge of every lupine within these lands. He was in charge of their safety and protection and in charge of making sure nothing bad happened to any of them. To some it would be a lot of pressure, too much pressure even, but not to him. To Summer it felt right, like he was meant to lead rather than be led. He had been raised to be a leader and it felt like he was finally where he belonged. His only concern was that he did not know what the other lupines in his pack felt. Did they trust him enough to be their leader, did they even like him enough to stay in the pack or would they all leave? It was something that genuinely concerned him and he didn’t know what he could about it. Really he knew that there was nothing he could do about it. He could only do his best and hope that the others in his pack would accept him as their new leader and stick by him, just as everyone had stuck by Darcia when he came to the pack.

Confusion and worry swam through his mind, so he decided to go for a walk around the pack, see if he ran into anyone from his pack. The phrase still felt weird, even to just think them, that this was his pack. A small smile came across his features at the thought and he pushed out of his den, into the sunlight. He stretched for a moment before trotting towards the borders. He knew that his scent was strong on the border, he had go along it many times since Darcia had told him that he would be taking over as alpha, but it felt natural to do border patrols, it calmed him and helped him relax. The smoky brute fell into an easy routine, circling around the territory that he was now in charge of, letting his thoughts wander away from the worries and he fears of leading a pack.

As the brute wandered around the pack his thoughts drifted to his packmates, wondering what his relationship with them all would be like now. Misty, one of the first femmes that he had met when he came to Bright Moon. He remembered when the two of them were sent to another pack to set up alliances, could he now send her out with someone else to do the same for him, as they had done for Darcia? Cora, the femme he had recently brought to join Bright Moon, wondering if Darcia would accept her. Well now it was up to Summer and she already knew that he had accepted her into the pack. He wondered what their relationship would be like now that he was an alpha of the pack. He wondered if Iason would stay around now that Darcia was gone or if the brute would stay in the pack. He knew that Darcia had Iason as his beta and he did not know who would hold what ranks now. He would need to wait until the end of the pack meeting he was going to call to see who would come. And then there was Scion and Iso, lupines he had had very little interactions with. And others who he had only seen at pack meetings, Danger and Elora and others that could be around. He wondered how many of them were still loyal to the pack and would come to his call.

As Summer was getting ready to head back into the territory and call a pack meeting a foreign scent reached his nares. Someone new was at the borders. And so he turned in the direction of the stranger to go and see what they were here for. He wondered if they were from another pack, maybe the rumors had already spread that Darcia was gone, or if someone wanted to join his pack. He knew that some alphas approached strangers with uncertainty and aggression, but that was not how Summer was. He was quite the opposite actually, friendly and open to many lupines joining the pack. And so with an easy smile upon his features he approached the stranger. When he came through the trees he saw the form of a kalak, laying down with her head held daintily on her paws, a smile on her kissers. Summer approached, sitting with his plume wrapped around his paws when he was a few feet away. ”Hello miss. I am Summer, alpha of these lands. What brings you to Bright Moon?” He sat patiently, waiting to see what this femme would want of him.

OOC: I just did this post as if the pack meeting hadn’t already started (even though you’re not part of that) since it hasn’t gone anywhere yet.
