Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Return to Lunar Children

THE PATH OF THE RIGHTEOUS MAN;
IP: 108.69.203.21

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.
She was nervous. Vincent could easily see it in her posture, hear it in her voice- she even smelt nervous. He was suddenly unsure of the whole situation. Well, it seemed like he was feeling a lot of unfamiliar emotions lately, and Vince doubted it was going to stop any time soon. Life had a funny way of doing that sometimes, throwing a bunch of strange crap your way. The hulking brute saw it as a challenge, maybe, or he just could tell himself that. The disappearance of Iblis and his subseuqent loss of purpose, and now... this. Whatever this was. He didn't know what it was, really, or what it could be. He was still getting over the horrible feeling of affection that had left him reeling.

Vincent gave a few, low wags of his tail, trying to appear as nonthreatening as possible. There was something about her that made him want to be nonthreatening. He didn't want her to be nervous or scared of him, in fact, that was the last thing he wanted. He would try to smile, but it just looked awkward upon his face, like there should be a grin or nothing at all.

Things were strange, that was for sure, but at least now he knew her name. "Spirit. Nice to meet ya too." Vincent said, trying to keep the uncertainty from his voice. He always thought about finding a girl, but not like this. Did Fate really know best? He wasn't sure, not in the slightest- the chaotic creature couldn't trust something he couldn't see. Love, destiny... all those things were intangible, they could slip through your teeth like sand. He could hang on to flesh and bone, but feelings? They came and went. They were terrifying.

"Are ya afraid of me?" Vince asked quietly, the question sudden, surprising even him. He shifted slightly, almost uncomfortable with his own question. Humor to lighten the mood. Yeah, that would work. "I may have a big appetite but I'm not gonna eat ya." he said, a grin splitting his maw. Humor was something he knew, something he could control- and that was quite welcome in that situation.

Why did his life keep getting turned around? It seemed like Vincent just couldn't catch a break these days, and though he relished in the beauty of chaos and the whirlwind of not knowing, sometimes he wished things would just slow down for a while.
