aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

The brute approached the scent of the stranger in his pack, wondering why someone felt the need to enter his territory without his permission. Under other conditions the brujo would be thrilled that someone had come to the borders, whether to join or just visit having more lupines in his pack was a goal of his. But he did not want strangers to think that they could just enter the pack’s territory without his permission. He was not sure what the wolves in his pack thought of him but he knew he was not an aggressive or harsh leader and he never would be and he was worried that other wolves would see this as weak. Summer was by no means weak, he knew he could defend the lands that he had pledged himself to so long ago and he would fight tooth and claw to protect the lupines that were now under his care. The smoky brute made sure to keep himself calm, even though he was now on guard more so that someone in his pack instead of outside it, before he sought out the stranger.

Summer instantly knew something was wrong when the sharp scent of fear and pain reached his nares. Clearly someone was hurt and he quickened his pace to see what had happened, concerned that one of the lupines of his pack may have been hurt, though none of the pack wolves scents was strong. His yellow orbs found the form of a white lupine on the ground. He approached her quickly at first but then saw the fear in her eyes and how she shied away from him, wincing when she put pressure on what appeared to be an injured limb. He stopped his stride for a moment, looking at her from afar, speaking to let her know that she was not in any danger. She seemed to be alone and must have somehow hurt herself. As she was not a threat to him or his pack he was not going to leave her hurt like, Summer knew he had to help. When her form fell back to the ground he approached her again, but more slowly this time, continuing to talk softly to her to let her know that he was not going to hurt her. The brujo asked her what happened to her and who she was. Her body shook as she just looked at him in confusion, as if she did not comprehend what he was telling her. Finally she spoke, one word, “Amalthea”. He nodded, noticing the tears that were starting to form in her eyes as he neared her. The brute stopped walking again, now close to her injured form but worried about frightening her more and having her trying to run off and hurt herself more.

Summer decided to go at this with a different approach. He dropped his bodice lower to the ground, trying to show her, rather than tell her, that he truly was not a threat to her and that he was only here to help her now. He approached much more slowly now, crawling almost to her, watching her to see how she would react to him now, hoping it was not as fearfully. ”Amalthea. You’re safe now, don’t worry. No one will hurt you now. I’ll protect you.” When he finally reached the femme’s side he tried looking her over more carefully, making sure not to touch her in case in scared her more or made an injury worse. ”Now I need you to tell me where it hurts so I can help you.” He knew that one of her limbs was hurt and he was not sure how well she would be able to stand up and walk. The brute tried to think of the best way to help her, not knowing much about healing himself. He thought frantically of the other lupines in the pack, if any of them specialized in healing and he did not think anyone did. Somewhere in the back of his mind he remembered hearing about another pack having a good healer, Aurora Borealis was the home of Hellene. He was not sure if he wanted to leave his pack, maybe he should call for the other lupines here and see if anyone could help? Summer was afraid if he did that more than one wolf might come to his call and make things worse for the already frightened girl. If he went to Aurora and called specifically for Hellene would that be better? Then he would be guaranteed to have someone that would know what to do and a crowd would not need gather. It also might be a good opportunity to set up an alliance with the pack now that he was alpha.

The brute decided that this was the best method of action and he knew a fairly short path that would take them to Aurora Borealis easily. After he figured out where she was hurting the most he made sure to avoid those areas and not make her injuries worse. ”Okay, Amalthea, we need to get you to someone that can you help you better than I can. Do you think you can stand? I’ll help you walk, don’t worry.” He tried to help her to her paws, her good ones anyways, standing on the side that was not injured so she could lean on him for support, hoping that she would use him to lessen the weight on her injured limb. Summer helped the white femme limp her way to the borders of Aurora, explaining to her where they were going and who they were going to see. ”I know of a good healer who is not too far from here. Her name is Hellene and she is in Aurora Borealis. They are a nice pack so no need to worry. I’ll call specifically for her when we get there and she will help you. I’ll stay with you the whole time, don’t worry, I’ll make sure nothing else happens to you.” His yellow orbs looked towards her encouragingly, hoping that he would believe him and trust him enough even though they just met that he would not lead her to danger.

When the pair reached the borders of Aurora he helped Amalthea back to the ground so that she did not need to keep more pressure on her injured form. He knew that she was a nervous lupine so he spoke to her again before calling Hellene. ”I’m going to call for Hellene now. She’ll help with your injuries and make some of your pain go away. I’ll be by your side the whole time, I promise.” He hoped to get her approval and then he lifted his snout to the air, calling for the female healer to come to the borders. He sat down next to the injured femme, sitting close enough to give her comfort, but not too close as he knew she was nervous.

OOC: Kiki I tried not to godmode at the end, if I did and you want things to go differently on their way to Aurora just go ahead and change it =)
