Dangerous? she stammers pathetically, and Mikhail nods in an all-too-serious way. She asks about where they are going, and Mikhail offers her his gentlest, most assuring smile. He wants her to feel safe with him, to trust him, or else this may not go as he has planned.

"You would like to know?" He inquires. He turns his head first to the left, then to the right, looking around with clouded eyes as if he is about to reveal some juicy piece of gossip or some scandalous conspiracy with her. As if the name of their destination is some big secret that no one must know about. He leans in closer and closer until his lips nearly brush her cheek. "It's called the Lagoon." He says simply. "There are many there that can protect you." He states sotto voce. And so it begins that he weaves his web of lies. From the first singular strand, the first falsity that fell from his lips, he knows there is no turning back now. He has woven himself a trap, and she is his prey, caught up in his mess. The thought pleases him endlessly, a feeling of warm satisfaction flooding his veins.

When she tells him her name, he smiles. "It's nice to meet you, Kochanie. Follow me. Stay close." With that, he turns and heads in the direction of the Lagoon. It doesn't take them long to get there; Mikhail has become familiar with the trails that weave over the commons, ever since Felony brought him from the Lagoon that first time. As they get closer and closer to the border, the colt's heart beats a little faster. They are in the home stretch now; would she still follow him so willingly? Would she change her mind at the last moment? He knows he has lied to get her here - when she finds out, will she be angry? At this point, he doesn't really care. Once he has her within his home's borders, she is his, whether she likes it or not.

By the time they reach the border, there is a noticeable difference in atmosphere; the air here is warm and humid, like a perpetual summer's day. There are many sounds - birds and insects and animals - that Mikhail is sure Kochanie has not heard before. She might spook, he reminds himself, and pauses momentarily to allow her to catch up, should she find herself in need of some comfort. He turns his face towards her, taking in her blurred image through his good eye. "We're here." He informs her gently. "You can explore on your own, if you'd like. Or I can show you around some."
