The sounds that filter into her ears cause them to constantly flicker and wave. The squeals of excited pups, the slight movements of her mate dreaming, the various sounds everyone made was like a balm to her healing body. She had yet to encounter that rage she had become to accustom to, though perhaps it is the one that has returned that holds her aggression at bay. For as she lay within the cage of the den her body still unready to return to what once was she knows he is near. Never far and that soothes her unlike any other. Orange eyes blink trying to keep close eyes on her children as they bond with this family she thought would never be. Semele, Vladimir, and Camilla are off some ways, separated yet watched with such precision she does not fear for them. Panzer her only white child plays with Ankh the only female bore to Natu and Fenrir. And though her instincts still drive her to keep watch she knows the safety of the family would prove her no worries for the children she bore and loved.
The pull to join in, to be apart of this family psychically is overwhelming. This is new to her, the feeling that she is not alone amongst the crows. Never had she thought by mating with her giant she would gain something once though impossible. For on top of giving her children he has given her a larger family not by blood. The slight strain her body encounters does not deter her as the pain is slow to build due to her careful movements, for a moment she pauses sniffing at the air to make sure she had not torn healing flesh and is pleased at the scent of nothing but earth and family. A small smile staining her lips as she comes to pause at the lip of the den. Orange eyes first fixate of her giant, a mischievous idea flutters into her mind, wondering what the beast would do if she were to nip at those running legs that seemed intent on catching the prey he dreamed of yet the delighted cry of Semele draws her away from her more darker thoughts of once again bleeding her giant. Eyes hone in her her littlest one watching as she loved over her silent sibling which making sure Vladamir and Alex were not forgotten. In this moment she is safe, happy. Admiring all the changes that had been made since her arrival and she hoped this feeling would last forever.
One minute she is smiling the next all hell seems to break loose. Madness, that is the first thought that comes to mind as what once peace now shifted to chaos. She is confused for a moment, her heart pounding as she watches them scramble, snarl, and demand safety for the children. Instincts kick in even though she has no idea what is going on, she rises teeth bare at the pain as her hackles rise and jaws split as a sinister snarl forces it's way out of her mouth. The screams of the children drive her. Like a protective mother her eyes seek her children, watching as Fenrir picks up a crying Semele while they dash straight towards her. Something was wrong, so very wrong. Think everlyse! The roar hits her like a blow to the face as she freezes for but a moment. A bear. Fear takes her unlike anything she had ever felt. Her eyes screaming the fear she has for the little ones who scurry into either by force of sheer will.
Orange make quick work accounting the children that are huddled in the den, glancing at Natu with a look of pure fear before looking back out at the plains. She would die before she allowed some furred beast to claim any of the innocent lives that cry within as she moves to step further out to aid any way she can the scent of blood hits her and then the sky is falling.
Gold, then brown, then red. Neirin is beneath the beast, the sickening sound of bones breaking. Ifrit is in the jaws of the beast and her heart stops. Her mate and his brother at the mercy of the beast as she screams at her fear and hate for the bear, saliva dripping like fine silk from her jowls as she prepares to spring and remove those teeth from her giant for she was the only one allowed to inflict harm from him. And then they come, so many others who had heard the roar flock to the beast as they ram and bite the bear who had invaded. Reich is there too. Orange eyes watching the mess as if she could fit in some way. So many mouths attempting to distract the beast that for the first time in her life instead of harm she wants to save. The temptation the maim the bear high but her worry of Ifrit and Neirin much greater as she uses all the strength she has gained to charge from their den, orange eyes fixated on the red giant she had come to care for.
Dodging all the bodies on nimble feet would have been easy but her recovering body retracts some of her grace as she trips slightly over the leg of a fellow wolf. Eyes flick to haziel as she moves the back of Ifrit, snarls screaming from her lips as she latches on to the scruff of her mate, teeth hitting the plush as she begins to tug with all her might. Her heart pounding with such ferocity she thinks it will explode. For all she needed was one moment one clear moment where the bear would be distracted by the other and release her mate just a little, hopefully just enough so she could pull him to safety. Each ferocious tug if met with a sharp pain, her wounds not liking the effect yet she does not give. Her children are safe, it is her mate that needs her now. Natu will watch them, protect them while she tries to save the male who gave them life. For if Ifrit could be saved so could Neirin, right?
Her safety is in question with the close proximity to the bear yet she cannot force herself to move from her giant. The need to take back what she deemed hers to great, the damned bear would have to relent with her pulling eventually. As she fights for her children, for the man they cared for as so did she. Her family would not fall to this beast today, as she snaps at the jaws that hold her giant before returning to the scruff of her giant. Her body tiring yet not giving in, the added resources of some many mouths giving her hope even when in the pit of her stomach she knew with much dread that today more change was coming.
