Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

come just as you are to me
I WILL LOVE YOU UNCONDITIONALLY
There is so much beauty in the world, this is the first time she had been outside of Asteraia, finding herself at the border of the river as pale green eyes admire the array of colors that the leaves held. The rolling hues seemed to dance along the hills, blending so effortlessly. The thick grass beneath her, seemed untouched by the changing of seasons as the distant sound of the river seems to lull one into an false sense of calmness. Even with the ache that floods her heart she too cannot help but be drawn to it as well. This seemed wild compared to what use to be her home among the plains, unlike Asteraia there was trees, mountains, a river, so much she is finding it hard for pale green eyes to focus on one thing before she finds something else that catches her eye. It is a welcomed distraction, one she knows will not last long but never the less she clings to this sense of peace. Wondering when winter came if it could by some chance turn even more magical. The chill in the air is a give away at the shifting of seasons, the fact this was to be her first winter held her in awe. To watch as snow fell from the sky, to decorate the land in a untainted scene, a flawless perfection; it is the first thing she had looked forward to since that dreaded day.

For now though, she is so absorbed by the grasp of autumn she finds herself mindlessly wandering the various trails that connect the river to Spirane. Mother and Reich had brought them to this pack after the white queen had evicted them after her win over Rhae, that day seemed to re-open all those wounds she worked so hard to mend. For no longer would she be so close to what little memories she had of her father, the ones she had come to care for - to think of as family was broken, each going their own ways after the new queen had moved in. It is a loss that her little heart mourns. For not only did it feel as if she was losing her father and uncle again but also everyone else she had grown up with and come to care for. But there was one that held such a higher place among the others. Haziel, her Hazie. She had not seen him the day they had left, mother had been quick to make their escape for it is rumored those who lived there now had no qualms in taking the lives of others.

As pale green eyes grasp hold of the sight of the river, she cannot help but see the distorted reflection that ripples back at her. It is the first time she had seen the changes time had given her, her fragile size is still apparent but she was growing, never would she be as big as her siblings she has accepted that. A slight smile forming on her lips at the thought of being as huge as Vaddy, or perhaps having the feet of Anze, or maybe even the stark black of Illa. Like the fall she is a blend of colors, from cream, gray, and red. Obtaining little from her mother other than size, her father leaving his mark well, for Vaddy and her seemed to be the only two who had carried on the bloodied colors of him. A heavy sigh as she turns away from the sight, ears twisting at the sounds wondering how long it would be til she was found by either Illa or Mother. She could not help but hope she would have found Haziel wondering close, though she knows there were several lands and packs she had not yet uncovered and it seemed he had taken those paths opposed to her own. Maybe one day she would find him, til then she can only hope he will not forget her, for since her birth he had been around. The attachment was there, even if he was not.
