He waits, but not for too long. That was a good thing, because time was of the essence with the Winter coming, and Riot wanted to have an idea of all the packs before that. Not likely, but it was still a thought he had. He was doing his best to get it going along, but not everyone greeting him so quickly, and there were some packs to which Riot had not yet ventured. Some didn't bring him quite as much interest for one rumor or another, but he would still give them all a fair chance. He would still visit and see what they might have to offer him. Yet this is where he was now, and he watched as someone came closer to answer his call.

It was good that the critter kept some thoughts to himself, because one never knew how a stranger would react to something personal. If there had been mention, in the slightest, of poor breeding choices when it came to what Iscariot looked like, then Riot would have attacked him. Impulsive, without a warning; flat out, no remorse or other thoughts to change his course, he would have gone for the sunshiny boy's throat. It was one of the most dangerous conversation topics when it came to Riot, and something no one should try pressing upon. There was no trigger quite like that one in regards to Riot, and it was a very fragile thing.

Thing was, Riot didn't care in the least as to what he looked like. If it was only a mention that he looked wrong, fine. That part did not matter to him, and would have been disregarded as someone being rude and hostile for reasons to do with themselves and not Riot. Riot knew what he looked like, and he wasn't fussed about it. Except with being dark along the snow when trying to hunt; that was a pain in the ass. But such was life. No, the thing that would set Riot off would be the mention of the parents he did not know, that were hidden from him under the disguise of two others. He had never felt right among them. It was a sore spot, to be sure.

Nothing along those lines had been said, however, and it was good. Riot watched as the male grinned at him, and he offered a polite smile in response. Ears twitched forward to listen to the words being spoken, and he nodded with the information given to him. It was quite a bit in one bout of words, but that was a good thing. It saved time and gave Riot something to think about while he gave his own answer to the question of an inquiry. Which of course, he did have. "Greetings likewise. And yes, I do. I wanted to know of this pack, it's alpha, and what is expected of the members, what is offered to them in return for their hard work." To the point, because Riot would agree that way was best.
