Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

It was strange to think that she belonged to a pack now. She had never fit in anywhere before and yet, this group of misfits all seemed to have one thing in common. She never knew that things could fall into place so easily, so simply. She was figuring that things would go up from here, and she was determined to make sure that happened. She had her eye on being an eliminator. She had the perfect size for it, and her voice could trick anyone into telling them her secrets. Her looks were so innocent, if you didn’t see the scars. It was something she had always hated but now that she thought about how she could use them to her advantage. Hell, she could even use her own body to her own advantage if need be.

Just the thought of it made her laugh, a soft, flowing sound that she felt a creep of a shiver run up her spine at the sound of it. Yuck. She walked around in the soft fluffy grass of the riverside. She stared at the long grass, wondering why she had come here. It was a new adventure for her, that was for sure, but other than that she had no idea of what she would do here. There was no big flashy event, nothing that drew her in like a moth to the flame. But there was also the aspect that the unexpected came when you weren’t looking for it.

The river was barely flowing, she attributed that to the fact that it was now winter and things were freezing all around. Soon the grass that she was in would be covered in snow as well. Her small figure nearly disappeared when she went into the deeper, taller grasses and she felt almost secure. Maybe she could hide here and listen to everyone gossip all day. That sounded pretty good to her. But then again, she wasn’t about to step on any toes being new to a pack. She wasn’t going to let Jaidah down. She hadn’t yet brought up the fact that she wished to ben eliminator, but then again, it was mainly the fact that she didn’t want anyone hearing her awful voice. Let alone her leader.
