The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Seir
Chained to None - Caged by None - Kept in No Prison

The enjoyment of a kill was never something that would leave him. Even as he fought for his life his mind turned to the idea of having another meal to sate the never ending hunger the monster has. Eating his own kind was all he knew, he was brought up having wolves brought to him from his parents, he never knew any better than to just simply eat others he didn’t even know it was bad. When wolves attacked him they got angry he never knew why. He had offered to share once and they still attacked! Did they not do the same? He never would live to find out that they only feasted upon insuperior flesh, flesh that never sated a hunt that never made the blood pump so fiercely. All of it was what made the hunt of his kind the best. Though right now he was weak, he was at a disadvantage and yet he fought as though there was nothing wrong.

His off guard Seir could taste the blood and feel the peeling flesh off of his muzzle. He growled pleased as he felt the trickle of the others blood in his throat. It made him feel better, stronger but he could not fight the disease he had had since birth. A disease that would never leave him for as long as he lived and only allowed him so much fight before making him stop and this time he couldn’t throw himself down a ravine to escape and barely survive.

He jerks backwards and it is then the jade eyes begin to see their last few moments of life. Seir had tried to fiercely hold on but as he brute pulled back his breathing only got more and more ragged an awful sound filling up the cave with echos of death rattles until he felt pressure into his chest. His lungs couldn’t take any more pressure and a cough and a spurt of blood coughed out of the monsters lungs, his own blood. He gagged and cough before he could even react to the tan’s male’s second attack he put him out of his misery.

For the first time in his life, he had become the prey. He always suspected it would happen and oddly enough all he could think about was the female that bore him her white form protectly having swarmed and saved him before in his childhood from the dark shadow that was already there. He trembled more blood starting to gush from his nose and mouth as he was mercilessly grabbed at the throat.

Soon enough all was dark and oddly enough there was no death rattle to accompany the soul that left the black monster and his body went limp right along with it.
