Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

We laughed at fate and mourned her;

To some this place was magical. To her this place was useless. In all her travels she had never heard of a land where Fate decided to match you up, connecting your soul, without your permission to someone not of your choosing. If she would have known this place existed, and that Fate would dare to do such a thing…then she wouldn’t have bothered to come here at all. She was not a creature that believed that her soul could be controlled by another, much less, be tied to another. She was a dark hideous creature that held no soul anymore, well she used to. Now she was once again tied down to one of the most feared wolves that laid such a heavy and disturbing mark in Moladion. Not only did she feel her soul squirming around, but she could feel it tying itself around Tobias – even if he was not here. The only thing she trusted from Fate, was the curse mark that was branded on her forehead, and the meaning behind it. She was meant to become a Monster, just as Fate had bestowed upon her. So, she did as she was meant to be. She lived on her own, survived on her own, and Heaven or Hell help any creature that stood in her way that considered themselves a threat. They were not a threat, they were never a threat. There wasn’t a damn thing on this Earth that scared her. She was far too gone in her mind to experience Fear. Yet she could smell fear on anyone nearby, and those particular creatures were not meant to stay within her presence.

As she crept through the fields she found her paws pressing into the ground that seemed to shift as heavy pressure was given. Dark azure eyes narrowed as she noticed the grains of sand between the grass, and as she continued treading forward the ground slowly shifted mostly into sand as it bordered the lake. Heavy paw prints trailed behind the shadowed ghastly lupine. The moon was up high this winter night and its silver rays casted sinister shadows to etch itself into her scarred flesh. Her half torn ear would twitch side to side in a moderate alert manner. She had not felt her other half’s presence for quite some time and she assumed he had left her alone, at peace, perhaps going off to do whatever it was he needed to do. It did not bother her if he was not around, she preferred it, even if she felt a small pang of pain without being near him. Reaching the banks of the lake she would lower her head and slip her tongue out, enjoying the taste of the cold refreshing water. When her thirst for water was satisfied she lifted her head and looked at her own reflection. In the water stood a mirror image of herself, and for this rare vain moment, she looked at herself. Her thick shaggy ebony hide seemed much darker tonight, the various scars she received in her life seemed to gleam a little brighter, the dark grey v-shaped mark still held flecks of dried blood from her recent meals. The claw marks received from the mountain lion still looked just as fresh as ever, those muscles forever exposed and never covered, as her other scarred face held older and thicker marks. Quietly the Monster began to see visions within the dark murky water, snippets of her memories from so long ago, and tonight, on this tranquil and peaceful night, the Monster began to get lost within them.
