He noted the looks from the others, the confusion from one and the ears down, and the smile and tail wag from the other he had met once in Taviora -- that one had been informative and Riot had been grateful for it -- and then the female nodded to him. It seemed that with this, he was aceepted into the hunting party for today. That was good, and he could be helpful to them whereas they could be helpful right back in the fact that he might get a few bites of thier prey before heading on his way again. As long as he helped take something down, of course. But he figured they were all more than capable of working together to take down the creatures not too far from them.
They just needed to work together, and Riot was sure that as pack animals, they would be able to do that well enough. Though in training, there could be mis-steps. He was aware of that, and accepted it could sway towards a loss here. But he was confident that they could do this anyways. He moved closer when indicated to, listening to what was being said by the female. She was saying that the deer were slumbering mostly, the males distracted. Looked like a fair assessment of the current situation, but he remained silent in his thoughts. When she told the one male to pick the target and make the first move, Riot glanced at the male and started to get in position for when the target was picked.
He finds a place to the side and a little behind the female, trying to judge where each wolf would go when attacking. He bent his limbs slightly, aiming to be ready to spring and sprint when the time came. His gaze slanted from the deer to the one who was picking the target again, waiting for the motions, the signals and the moment when they were all to move. Riot almost springs too early when the other moved and hesitated, and he almosted sighed at the fact that it could have gone downhill had he takent the indication to move seriously. But this was a learning hunt, so mistakes could be made here that would lose them the meal. He waited.
