Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

"Your name shall be carved into legend once my Sword has carved into your chest." ~Song Of Achilles

I move gracefully beside my future guard and current best friend, looking forward to what the water pack has in store for us as far as greeting. Surely they know we're coming. They should want to roll out the red welcome mat for the heir of Diveen, the future king. I know I have relatives here, though I don't know their names or faces. Diveen is a big pack and even the royal family doesn't meet on a day to day basis, though I think it should be arranged at least as a once a month thing for updates. I swear that bloodline just grows and grows. But I'm to be the head of it all some day and I plan on upholding that title to the best of my abilities. With a guy like Guardian at my side, where can I go wrong?

I do recall that the new alpha himself, Eden, was once a wolf of Diveen. I think he was also known as important somehow but I never asked how. Didn't think it was important at the time. But look at him now, a king already before I've even taken my parents' throne. How noble of him, how ambitious. We should have a lot in common then, right? I'm pulled from my thoughts as a muscular shoulder collides with mine and as I turn a raised brow on the wolf at my side, I already know where this is heading. My eyes glitter with anticipation, pretending at nonchalance until he brings his paw up to swing at my shoulder. I laugh and jerk away, bringing my own paw up to bat playfully at his face. I jump back in case of retaliation and circle around to his other side, grinning as I lunge in and try to shoulder into his flanks to throw off his balance before I leap away again.

What? Just because I'm a future king doesn't mean I can't be a little immature with my royal guard sometimes. He sprints away from me and I laugh as I give chase, knowing that he has the leaner legs for speed but I have the stamina from my deep chest. I cut into the tree line and run parallel to him, wanting to make him think he lost me if he looks back and doesn't see me. I'll use the cunning Heyel trained into me to run in the shadows until he slows down then I'll leap out and block his path. That's assassin skill for ya. When he finally does slow down, I leap out and rush to him, aiming my shoulder at his ribcage to barrel into him. I circle around afterwards and slow to a stop, a little out of breath after all the play but feeling more vibrant and energetic because of it. I grin at my best friend, ears pricking forward to listen as he speaks to me of Eden.

I scowl thoughtfully and look down, contemplating his words. Yes, Eden did always seem like the quiet type and they say him and Solaris were near unseparable. I think back to my grandfather's words at the thought of my brother Solaris, how he doesn't trust him and thinks he's up to something. My thoughts cloud over at the thought of anyone in my family up to no good but if anyone would know, Heyel would. I trust him completely. I wouldn't have him as my mentor if I didn't. I nod at Guardian.

"Yeah, they did. I guess he woke up one day and thought 'hey, I think I'll challenge for a pack today."

I shrug and offer a joking smirk but the look in my eyes is a little more dark. Of course I recover from my darker thoughts when Guardian throws his head up to call out for Eden. I shake my head of such thoughts, pushing them back for brighter thoughts as I paint a smile on my face and wait for whoever should come. I take a seat beside Guardian, knocking my shoulder into his with a small smirk.
