Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

It was only thanks to Alcmene and Solitaire that she had hit her mark, and had hit it with deadly accuracy. She wasn't sure if it was all blood or the actual feeling of her teeth sinking in, that told her that her bite would have significant effects. Just because she knew she had hit a vital spot, didn't mean that she’d lessen her assault, instead she slightly readjusted her bite so she could farther damage the area, her shoulder pressing hard into the seal to better help halt its progress until it took its last breath. She could see out of the corner of her emerald eyes, Warlow, attacking from behind. As their quarry bellowed, she could feel the sound vibrate through her skull. It shook its head, in the process jarring her wound. Squeezing her eyes shut against the pain, she grits her teeth on her purchase. She could feel the bull's life flow from the wound she inflicted and she knew more was flowing down his throat into his lungs. It wouldn't be long now.

As the seal started to slump on top of those in front, she lessened her grip, only fully releasing once Alcmene did. She lifted her blood-coated muzzle and chin; swiping her tongue over her teeth, cleaning them of the blood. She eyed the seal's flank watching it rise and sink one last time. Turning to the others she saw Alcmene happily checking up with each of them, which she deserved to be so; with the success of this hunt not only would they bring food for the whole pack, but also she would ascend to top hunter and thief. Frostbite found herself proud to be a part of it; it had reminded her what it meant to be part of a pack. She had to admit that the girl had picked a good well balanced team, and that in end was what had led to their success.

Everyone else seemed to have gotten away with minor injuries, she however as she sat there could feel both her own and the seal's blood drying and caking on her fur; then again with the heat and wind, it doesn't come to surprise her how fast it's drying. She didn't like that Alcmene felt bad over her wound, there really was no need too; it was painful, yes, but it could have been much worse. "So it would seem." She replied to the girl who seemed to know that unless she was told to do so, she wouldn't. Normally she would probably put up more of a fight about seeing a healer, but the battle with the seal had taken much from her.

Still even hurt, after a battle Frostbite couldn't help but feel a small sense of giddiness. She always had a good feeling after a fight; whether she won or loss, the feeling of a fulfilled purpose felt good. She smiles at the girl's query and without a word grabs the flipper opposite of the one she grabbed, so they could snatch it away from the ocean that threatened to steal the carcass away even in death. Moving backwards while dragging such a weight, it was no easy task; but she couldn't complain, they had killed it together, so it was only natural that they hauled it together. When they made it to a point Alcmene decided was good, she lowered her end, taking deep breathes to regain the air that she had lost. She waits a few seconds before joining the girl in her call, lifting her blood soaked maw and releasing a song she rarely sung. Tonight was their celebration, and she'd be damned if she missed it.
