The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

All That I See, Absolute Horror

The warrioress had been making sure to keep herself busy. On top of raising two teenagers she was in one of the toughest and most powerful packs in Blossom, and she was not about to just sit around and be lazy in a pack such as this. And despite that she would grow bored if she did nothing day in and day out. Most of the female’s time was consumed by her kin, Corde and Felan. The two were very different, but both had great potential to be great assets to the pack that she had chosen for them all to live in. Her son, Felan, was brave and physical, so she focused on battle and defense with him. Every day she trained with him, showing him the best way to take down an enemy while still protecting himself. Often times Corde did not want to partake in their trainings, but Azula made sure that her daughter knew enough to defend herself and the pack that they were in. Her strengths were seen more with her mind and her heart. Though most would not think that one more gentle and kind like her would do well in Abendrot, the female knew that her daughter would bring great insight and patenting healing abilities to the pack. If she was in a tight spot the younger femme would fight, Azula made sure she knew how, but it was not her instinct like it was Felan’s,

Raising one with the personality of her daughter was very different for the female. Being with Felan sometimes felt more natural, he was more like her, not afraid of the world or the vargs in it and would not let anyone take advantage of him. The way that the dragoness was raised left no room for weakness or cowardice, something that she tried to instill in both of her young. She would by no means call her daughter weak or a coward, but there was more uncertainty in her than the female would have liked. She did not want her daughter to worry about the world and others around her, she wanted her to be confident and bold. But Azula knew that she could not change Corde, and really she did not want to her. She still loved her daughter, just as much as she loved her son, though she did not show it to them the way that most parents did. The female was not the type to coddle her kin, and she felt that they had grown to be great teenagers.

The multi-hued femme was not always with her young though, she needed time away from them just as they needed time away from her. She had been hunting more for herself recently and not for them as she used to, wanting them to learn how to hunt for themselves rather than always rely on her to feed them. Hunger was a great motivation to get a good meal. Often times when Azula left her daughter and son on their own she would leave Abendrot’s territory. Of course it had nothing to do with her loyalty to the pack, she had pledged that to Kershov and she had meant it wholeheartedly when she had done so. It was just to get a change of scenery and to really stretch her legs. The female never left the pack for too long, wanting to be sure that she would be around for anything that might be going on in the packlands and with the rest of the lupines of Abendrot.

The female was now returning from one of her runs around the lands of Blossom, panting with her tongue lolling lazily from her mouth as she caught her breath. The weather was finally warming up and it felt good to stretch her muscles in the warm weather instead of attempting to work out amongst the snow and frozen ground. Her bodice crossed the familiar border of the territory and she began to head in the direction of the dens that her and her family had dug out. As she was easily trotting through the trees she caught the scent of many lupines, as if there was a gathering or meeting going on. Her heard sank when she figured out what must have happened. Kershov must have called a pack meeting while she was still out of hearing distance. Well she figured late was better than never right?

The multi-hued female quickly turned in the direction where she had picked up on the aroma of the pack, not taking long to get to where they had all gathered. She could hear Kershov’s vocals but could not make out the words that he had stated to the group. She waited in the trees, crouched down to avoid detection and distract the group, until he was done speaking before getting closer to the group and approaching the alpha. The female noticed that there many there already, but neither Felan or Corde was in the group and she hoped that they would join soon. A female she did not recognize was standing in the front with the alpha and she could only assume that it was his mate. As she quickly scanned the crowd she recognized Sebastian’s form, but had not yet any of the others. Azula approached Kershov, embarrassed that she had arrived so late, plume hanging low and ears flattened. ”Kershov, I apologize for my lateness. It will not happen again I assure you.” After apologizing to the king she turned towards the only family face and sat beside Sebastian, nodding towards him in greeting, but not speaking. She was not one for many words, and she turned her full attention to the alpha.
