Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

I know Solitaire wasn't that fond of Tesseract and though I never had anything against the former alpha of Glorall, I know that there was a time when Solitaire could have come back and instead he must hve felt buffered by the male. I don't really think Tesseract was really trying to run him off; he was probably just feeling threatened that a stranger had walked right into his pack without going through him first. It's the first instinct of an alpha, to defend their home from intruders. So I don't blame Tesseract for that day but I know Solitaire probably doesn't see that side of it and maybe he never will. I won't try to argue it out because there's no point. Instead I'll just embrace the fact that he's here now.

He laughs and tells me he did his best in the hunt, which I know for a fact cause I was there. "You did great." I assure him with a smile. He goes along with my joke about picking flowers, giving me a grin and as I laugh it off, I grin right back at him. "I'm going to start calling you Daisy if you keep that up." I taunt him with a glitter in my eyes and a smirk on my lips. When I sympathize about him chewing up the herbs, he answers by sticking his tongue out and I act offended, my eyes widening though I grin right after. "Now I hope you bite into some herbs gone bad and have a bitter taste for days." When I mention fishing, he seems eager to go and I pretend to look sad for him at his answer. "But don't you love your new duties? You should upset not to be able to patch me up after a nasty catfish bite!" We move into the water and I inch closer to him as he concentrates on looking for prey.

He tells me that he doesn't see anything yet and I inch closer still before suddenly swinging my paw across the water and sending a spray of water right at his face. I laugh and dart away before he can retaliate, leaping through the water like a frog as I wag my tail before getting up on land and dropping my forehand in a play bow, smirking at him with a "come and get me" expression.
