There is a natural ease between the two boys as they fall into step and converse of things that many have probably done the same in the past. They might not know the past of their own parents yet it could be said, in a way, that fate had a hand of bringing Arthfael to the stony mountainside to meet with the prince much in the same way their mothers had met, one a ruler and one not. Arthfael was no prince; he had nothing to his name and he was here to learn more, to satisfy an itch that he would find never satisfied once he gets a taste of the mountains. Spirane is in his blood much as it is in the blood of Viserion, if not by such royal bloodlines as his golden friend.

In that moment where Artfhael halts and stares at Viserion forcing his tongue to come up with some answer the prince rises to the occasion. His lips twitch into a sly grin at the others words, nodding in agreement because Ankh had told him about the necklace of invisibility that the witch wolf had carried. "Maybe when we are older we can figure out if such things exist," he mumbles, already including the golden prince in his plans despite having just met him. He assumes the curiosity of this boy will follow right along in his own path.

The cave was cool as only a cave could be the deeper they moved into it. Loose dirt stuck to his paws from the last bits of clinging water but it didn't phase Arthfael. He had not set out to prove any sort of predilection for keeping himself spotless. Ankh might consider herself a beauty, and in a way he guessed she was, but he didn't really care how he looked so much. If he got too dirty then he would clean but now was a time for exploring. What explorer stayed clean anyways? It was too damn difficult with water, mud, and dirt everywhere. "Do you think there are bats in here? That would be cool." His voice echoes off the walls even as he speaks in a hushed manner, his nose twitching with the scents of mold, moss, and wet earth.

He blinks in surprise when his new found friend suddenly blurts out his question about his mom and turns his face towards him, still padding along slowly. "Her name is Natu. She said she used to live here. Used to be something called a Spider, I think." His brow furrows as he tries to remember what she had said for she had talked lovingly of her home. "I think she said she used to be friends with your mom. Your mom is the queen isn't she?" Now he glances over the boy again as if to reaquaint himself, realizing he doesn't know much about Viserion other than his disbelief in magic.
