When solid ground grows soft with emerald moss and rivulets of black mud, and coffee-colored water pours slowly around the trunks of densely carpeted trees, this marks the beginning of Laod Mor: the swamp of Blossom Forest. Time itself seems to slow to a soporific crawl . . . the humid jungle air grows stagnant, thick with the scent of rich flooded earth and an abundance of green things that can be found nowhere else—except perhaps Caidir Olc. In some areas of the swamp, water rises so high the only way to cross it is to crawl across fallen logs or massive roots arching from their liquid beds; in other places a wolf might wade easily through the mire—or find a fortunate stretch of mostly dry earth. Pieces of the great river, Glaesfaet Sceawere, also slice through from time to time: small falls that feed into surprisingly clear pools, only to terminate into tar-like pits. Of course, Laod Mor’s beauty shines brightest at night. Here, fireflies gather at all times of the year . . . suffusing the shadowy place with millions of twinkling lights.

Those looking to hunt here of course find a myriad of water prey, including caiman, turtles, fish, crayfish, otters, and toads.

How I Wish I Could Be Drop Dead A G A I N

She had never found herself at a loss for breath and it surprised her deeply. She was heartless and needed to act like it more. Her body was numb and needed to be forever that way. She needed her addiction and she needed it soon. She hadn't seduced anyone yet since she had come here. Her teeth clenched together. The thought of having little flee bags of her own never came to her mind. She always believed she was barren by how many times she had mated and never produced anything. It made her happy, she didn't want any.

Her heart could never be stolen if she never had one to begin with, right? Kirastasia had admired her looks when she arrived at Malignant Felicity. That may have been why she was accepted to the pack so easily. That and her grin when Kirastasia had mentioned the darkness of the packs ways. It made her smile once more, her deep brown eyes fixated on the running water past her.

The ivory enchantress' ears flicked to the sound of a brutes voice. "Hello there. I am called Kalgalath. May I inquire as to your own name, miss? Her posture grew cleaner as she became aware this may be her first chance and her first victim. She smiled up at him, the gray wolf that stood by the falls. "Hello. I go by Hocus Pocus. She said softly, inside she was laughing with joy. "You may call me by Hocus if you would like." She often came off as a pitiful girl who feared the world when she had seduced the men. It was time for a new approach. One of just sweetness. It sickened her how well she could pull it off.

”Tell me how you're gonna go, how you're gonna go on and make him fall in love with you.”
