Yes. He decided that something must be wrong with her, this female. The frantic way she was sniffing around.. Kellin was more and more uncomfortable in her presence. There were so many other places that he would rather be right now, and he was debating wandering off again by himself, but he did not want to leave Sabriel alone to this. Maybe if he could scare her off it wouldn't be so bad and no longer a problem. This was not the kind of wolf he wanted to be, but the female was starting to concern him, and he was not amused by it. While both of them were standing there attempting a calm conversation, she was now with fur lifted; she was the one threatening.

Kellin did not respond in kind, however, because the distaste of battle was still bitter on his tongue. However, he did not approve of her threats in response to Sabriel's well meant warning. "You are the one with fur raised. You are the one offering up a threat." He pointed out in low tones. Kellin was ready to be defensive if he needed to be, but he hoped he would not. For all her signs, all Kellin could see was that something was obviously very wrong. She might be offended by being given advice from Sabriel, and she was acting very aggressivly and had been since she started speaking. That was what Kellin had seen so far, and that was all her body language was giving him while joined with her words and tone.
