The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

All That I See, Absolute Horror

The female’s tail lashed out in frustration behind her. She had been disappointed that her two kin had not come to the first pack meeting that had taken place since the family joined. She knew that the two may have been forced into this pack at first, but she knew that they would fit in. Their family’s background surely was messed up enough to fit in with a pack that had the particular reputation that Abendrot had. It was no mystery to the wolves in Blossom that only a particular kind of lupine would fit in with the vargs that prowled through Abendrot’s lands. The leader of the lands was not known to be a kind or understanding wolf, but a warrior who knew the hardships of the world and would not take any weak being into his pack. Azula was pleased that he had accepted herself and her two young into the pack.

The demoness still worried about her daughter, though she never shared these thoughts with anyone. The younger female had fears of the world that Azula did not understand, but she was a cruel mother. She did not coddle her young, and she never would, but that did not mean that she did not love them and still care for her daughter despite not understanding her fears. But no matter how much she cared for her young, she was still frustrated with them. They both better have a good excuse for not answering Kershov’s call. Sure Azula had been late, but she had gone, apologized in person to the male that she had pledged herself to. Surely that was better than not showing up at all? In truth she had not been in a pack for so long, had never been in a normal pack, so she did not know what the wiser choice was. But the ice king seemed to accept her apology, so she supposed she had made the correct choice.

The scarred multi-hued female was going to have to make a point to talk to her son and daughter about the respect that they needed to show to the alpha, especially if they wished to stay in this pack. She could not force them to do anything, not now that they were teens, and she did not want them to get kicked out because they couldn’t show up to a pack meeting. But was the fault in her? Had she not raised them correctly and she was to blame for her kin not being present for the alpha? Doubt entered her, along with guilt at the fact that she may have done a pure job of raising her two offspring. The female did not have a good upbringing herself, and maybe it was now showing in her own kin. Azula made a mental note that she was going to have to be more aware of these things in the future. She did not want her son and daughter to be raised badly as she had been.

And so with frustrated and confusing thoughts in her head the female decided to take a stroll outside of Abendrot’s lands, for a change of scenery as she often did. Raising two teens was exhausting and she often needed time away from them, time by herself. And so the female went to one of her favorite places, Cavern of Secrets. The ominous and dark feeling in the caves reminded her of the places where her and her brother used to camp out when they were on the run, and in a way that was comforting. She did not know what happened to her younger brother since they had been separated, but she still found comfort in his memory. The two had been raised together, put through the same horrors and tortures together, and no one would be able to understand her as he did. It did not take Azula long to reach the opening to the caves, and without a hesitation she padded in, her brown paws stepping into the wet puddles that were scattered throughout.

The dragoness’ thoughts were distracted when she caught the scent of Abendrot in the caves. Another varg from her pack must be here, though she did not recognize their individual scent. With her nares in the air for a moment she was able to determine which way the being had gone, and then had to decide if she wanted to say hello, or go in the other direction. If they caught her scent they too might come and investigate, and she supposed she should be polite to her pack mate and see what they were up to. And so she trotted in the direction that her nose told her to go, knowing that she would find the lupine of Abendrot soon enough. It did not take the female long to see the dark form of a black brute lying in the crevice of one of the inner caves, his red eyes looking out to her light green ones. She paused her stride, purposefully stepping in a puddle to alert him to her presence if he was not already aware of her being there. She did not need to startle a warrior of Abendrot. Her scarred muzzle and bodice turned towards him, wary but deciding to be friendly for once. ”Hello. It appears we are of the same pack, though I do not recognize you. Are you new? My name is Azula by the way.” The multi-hued warrioress stood a few feet away from the male, waiting to see if he was in the mood for a chat or not.
