"All that we see or seem, is but a dream within a dream."
It is normally not in her nature to be so playful with many other wolves. In fact it was actually quite the opposite considering she was never around the same wolf very many times. She would spend a season or so attached to one male or another, enough time to get them complacent and to get bored and then she would be off to the next. Thus far Molodian was lacking in the gentleman department, although her mind kept flicking back to the mysterious black male Carnifex with a certain forbidden desire. Time was running short and she would find her a good male this winter and if not, well, her den was comfortable. And not easily accessible like the cavern. No more males tromping about and declaring themselves victors of the spoils of laziness. But she would not digress on that subject, as furious as it often made her.
It was almost pleasing to her that she startled him because it assuaged something inside of her. That predatory part of her that always felt like prey around other wolves. If she could manage to sneak up on Solitaire then she could do it to others if need be, the only part she was quite uncertain about was if she didn't manage to get a good backside attack then she would be the one belly-side up with teeth at her throat. She needed training, she figured, but more than that she needed muscle and her body was not primed for such. Being a runt had a lifelong impact. Oh well, she made do, and look, she had made a friend who wasn't too terribly mad at her for her silliness.
Malleah smiles at him once more in a somewhat more apologetic manner. It wouldn't do to go chasing off the one friend she had. Not that he seemed inclined to leaving, which only makes her feel more comfortable in his presence, her eyes crinkled in merriment. What a fine day it is!
"I am certain I can find some of those for you to keep busy with, in exchange for free meals of course," she jests, as if hunting down injured loners were a job in and of itself. Who knew? Maybe that is what Solitaire wanted and she could always get something in return. She returns his grin before it fades in a look of surprise then pleasure on her face, clearly overjoyed at his new titled. Solitarie, however unaffected he usually was, seemed very pleased in his position.
"Are you now!? Well, it is about time! They should have appointed you that long ago, I say. Must be a busy job being in a pack business. I imagine you have many wolves there in need of some medicines and attention. No more time for old Malleah," she pouts before winking at him.
"Yet here you are still. A true friend I say. Come look at my den, Solitaire. I need the expert opinion of one such as yourself."
And with that she jolts up and back towards her den with a jaunty step, ordering him about in a calm manner even if it was a bit brash. But she rather liked Solitaire and she was hoping that he would come because she really did need to make sure her place was secure.
