Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

It did feel odd not to have Solitaire to talk to after the whole incident. He's easily become the wolf I talk to about everything and anything so when I couldn't go to him, it really left me with no one. I guess I should make more friends in this pack. But family means a lot to me and not having Viora around is heart wrenching enough. Even knowing she hates me, I still hated to see her leaving the pack lands. But Solitaire seems to be bursting at the seams about something and i find my curiosity getting the better of me. He steps up to me and bumps his nose into my neck. I relax at the familiar gesture, pricking my ears as I study his expression.

Without much ado, he suddenly blurts it out and my eyes widen. "Wa...what?" I can't believe my ears. Solitaire's going to be...a father? I never even remember him talking about a girl. Did he meet someone? I guess he easily could have in the time we weren't speaking as much. That would explain the surprise. I take a whiff of him and I admit to smelling a few different wolves on him but none that really stand out. Solitaire has a penchant for getting out around the pack and actually meeting other wolves. Something I guess I should get better at. "Well....who's the lucky lady?" I can't think of anything better to say, my eyes turning more curious.

He explains that it has to do with a pack alliance contract and he names her Ambrosia. My brows lift in shock at the familiar name. Didn't I hear that Covet gave the title to a wolf named Ambrosia? Could it be the same wolf? If so, wow. "You aim high, brother. You planning on leaving me to run your own pack?" I try to offer a playful smirk after to let him know I'm just joking but there is some doubts in my eyes. If they end up falling for each other, doesn't that mean he'll go to live with her? Does that mean I'll lose another sibling? The thought hits hard in my chest. He finds a way to distract me from my fears thought when he brings up my new title and how he wants me to meet her. Now I'm thoughtful. I've never really thought about pups before. Would I be any good at being an uncle? Would they even like me? Will she like me? What if she thinks I'm a wimp? Sees me as Viora did?

I smile. "Of course, I'd love to meet her. And the pups too when they come."
