As soon as the creature moves, Amalthea opens her lilac portals and they snap right to where he’s unveiled himself. Her jaws clench, almost puncturing the soft flesh of the hare between her jowls. She doesn’t like this one bit. The doe stares as the buck circles her…. As if she were some sort of sacrifice. But still Amalthea does not move. She may be terrified beyond her wits end, but she is no fool. A sinking feeling seeps in as she begins to realize that if she took off, he would only give chase. And she is not willing to give this demon what he wants. Her listeners twirl with his dance steps and, as he leans in close to her, she sidesteps away, twirling her rear end away from him. Best to keep the parts most vulnerable the farthest away from the thing that threatens you. You should calm yourself, little rabbit. Your heart can only take so much pounding. The girl inhales slowly, trying to determine if this brujo is from the same pack as her… but she is met with no pack scent at all. Perfect. She came across someone who does not owe allegiance to anyone. For some reason, that makes him all the more dangerous in her mind. Lavender dreamers assess the layout around her once more. Silence. Very cautiously, the ess lowers her nape, eyes on the male the whole time, and gently drops the hare to the ground. Is this what he wants? A kill? Brows raise slightly at the thought. Maybe…. It’s not her kill that he wants. But perhaps a hunt. And what better prey to find than one who does not know where she’s at? Amalthea carefully raises her head back up, auds twitching. She takes one step back, wondering if he will move with her. If he does, she will immediately stop. And she will inhale once more… this time holding it.
Regardless of his movements here, Amalthea will continue. Fae or hessian, neither should be taken lightly. Her exhale comes at an eerie rate.. She takes flight. But it is not to the left nor right that she does so. Nor does she spin on her heels and release her energy in the opposite direction. Instead she rushes straight at the fellow, his color blotched by the moonlight. She stays low to the ground, in a way that could almost make her topple if she was not so used to the position. Her fangs open, flashing in the midnight atmosphere, and two lengths before she collides with him, she switches direction and takes off in the direction from which she had first come. A feint attack. Her body now lifts, allowing her to use her legs to the best of her abilities. Without the weight of a kill pulling her head down, she is able to reach as far as she can. Branches whip her flesh, catching the skin and slicing it open if caught correctly. She will have thin cuts on her cheeks and shoulders and thorns in her pads if she makes it back, but she does not worry about such matters at the moment. Though they pain her and send shocks through her nerves, her adrenaline drags her forward, kicking dirt up behind her. Thea dares not look back. It will only slow her down. Her eaves are connected to her skull, flattened to the point where she might seem to not have the duet at all. Her eyes are wide. She is the prey. But she can still be a force to be reckoned with. If this male catches up to her, he will have more than he bargained for on his hands. Amalthea dives through the darkened foliage, desperately following her own trail back towards the safety of Bright Moon.
