aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

Loyalty means nothing unless it has at its heart the absolute principle of self-sacrifice

Whilst they were walking, the ess stayed as close as she could to him, her form often bumping into his own, but Kalgalath said nothing. Instead, he leaned toward her in case she ever needed his support to continue on. Indeed, he could not believe that she had lasted so long. Although she had had a decently long nap on the beach, he doubted that that single slumber would be all that she would need to recover. No, the road that lay before Sebring would be a long and strenuous one. She needed to put on weight and muscling.. and then of course there would be the matter of her psychologic well-being. Every time that the ess strayed too far from him, she seemed to slip away into her memories. Her mind became absent, and he had often observed her form trembling, as if from the cold or from pain. Kalgalath so desired to aid her - to be someone she could trust in, to get advice from. But it was her past and until Sebring decided to open her heart to him and trust him with whatever memory was ailing her, he couldn't help her. He wouldn't push her - that was a door she had to open on her own.

Kalgalath continually spoke, rambling off all of the options that she had to choose from in terms of where to settle her den, and when he paused to take a breath it was easy to see just how overcome she was. There were simply too many options for her - her portals were wide, lids hardly covering them at all. Almost absently, Sebring nodded but he could tell it was all too much. Her cheeks were getting flushed but she asserted that all was still fine. No, Kalgalath darling. The brute froze, his pinnae holding onto the term of endearment that she had dropped upon him. It was true that he had referred to her as 'dear'... but 'darling' was a whole another matter. Especially with the hushed tone that seemed so private, so intimate. The ess moved closer to him, rubbing against his shoulder, before caressing him another time. Her nares traced his jawline first, starting at his maw and moving up to his aud. A grove sounds like a wonderful idea and I wouldn't dream of having anyone else here to help me, Kalgalath. He smiled at her and returned her caress. I'm ready whenever you are. The ess peered up at him, smiling ever so faintly and Kalgalath merely nodded.

"Alright, Sebring, well at least that is a start. There are an innumerable amount of groves throughout the territory, but we can look around the top of the hill where mine is and see if there are any that suit your fancy." His limbs returned back to their motion, and he started down the slope that led to the river that surrounded his hill. "Be careful here, this is sometimes very slippery. I find that it helps if you stick to the stones - at least they won't give way beneath you." He paused just before the river to see if she would need his support to cross the river itself. Though its flow was not very strong right now since there had not been any excessive downpours, it was relatively deep. There was a single area that had tall enough boulders to clear the water. Normally, the brute would simply run down the slope and clear the river in a single leap, but he knew that the ess would have had a little difficulty with that in her current state. "I know this territory must seem awfully large to you, but you will find that it seems rather cozy after a while. I think that the hardest part for me was that the entire territory is lined with firs. It is quite easy to get turned about but there is a clearing at the very center... and if you travel in any direction for long enough you will hit the boundary. I promise that after a while it will be completely easy to navigate however. I can run the whole land with my eyes shut."

He chuckled softly and ensured that she had cleared the river before ascending the steep cliff on the other side. At least here, the ground was rocky and did not give way. "We are almost to the top, Sebring, I promise." He went slowly, picking the safest path to ensure that she would have the least amount of difficulty. And then suddenly, when they had reached the peak, the ground leveled out for the most part though there was still a slight downward angle. "Mine is straight ahead a little while... let us search around for another shall we? The firs here will provide shelter against rain and snow, insulate against the cold, and the downhill angle prevents any precipitation buildup. In all, this is one of my favorite places in my terra... I think... I think you will like it up here too." Kalgalath paused, waiting to see where she would travel and which grove she would choose.
