Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Luk
(Two) (No Imprint) (No Mate) (Glorall)

The shock has passed and now he just stands there, confused and in pain. The animal refused to let go of his lip even though it had won the battle. Luk had learned his lesson and the crabs of Glorall would be safe from his jaws for many years to come. And yet, the beast refused to let him submit and crawl away defeated. The tri-colored wolf stood stock still as the sun continued to sink behind him, hoping the lack of movement would convince it to finally let go of his flesh. He even whimpered softly, thinking it knew his language and would understand the apology.

Nothing.

Then came another, a wolf pup younger than Luk, who would be his savior. The feeling in the older wolf’s heart was a mix of shame and relief. The mighty assassin was going to be saved by a child half his size, but he was still going to be saved. Swallowing his pride, or what little there was left, he offered a painful, pitiful smile. ”Hey… um… ow… a little help please… ow.” Each time he spoke, the crab pinched harder and harder on his lip. The young boy sniffed and inched forward, pulling back quickly when it lashed out at him. Then, he grabs it by the leg and started chewing, the loud popping of its shell breaking enough to make the animal finally let go of Luk and dangle helplessly from the jaws of the true predator.

Free at last from the grip of death itself, the new comer bounds around the beach happily. He rubs his face on the soil and smiles as the cool sand soothes the ache. Once this is finished, Luk trots up to the younger cub and nods his head. ”Thank you. What the hell is that thing anyways? Is it really safe to eat?” Suddenly, he remembered that he was being too happy, too carefree again. Brooding. He pulled his face down again, trying to appear less excited about life and like he had something to be angry about. It almost hurt his face to force it into such an expression. ”My name’s Luk. I’m new to this pack. Who are you, little one?” Even his voice was strained trying to sound melancholy. But he wanted to be just like Eden, even though the alpha had told him to be his own wolf. Problem was, Luk hadn’t quite figured out who he was just yet. And everyone knew it was always easier to be like someone else, right?
