News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

THE YOUNG DRAGONS

Spring was rife upon the mountain, though the changes at the higher altitudes were far different from those taking place in the foothills. While the peaks were still capped in white, the undulating hills that provided the gateway to Spirane held all the tell tale signs of spring's awakening. Green grass was sprouting up through the dry and discolored remnants from the last year. The buds on the trees were practically ready to burst, some already giving way to new leaves. Streams that had frozen over during the colder months ran rich with the snowmelt from the mountain, coursing wide over their banks at the surplus of moisture. Three young wolves descended through the passes that brought them into these foothills, paws that they finally seemed to be growing into - though the black paws of the largest of the trio still seemed oversized - carrying them swiftly over the ground.

For once it was Viserion that took the lead amongst his brothers, his white backed ears pivoting in different directions and constantly readjusting as his golden eyes swept the area he and Kalseru had designated for the event to come. Had anyone arrived before them? Rhaegal chuckled at his brother's antics, sweeping past him in a lope as he neared the stream where Sorcha had once told a far smaller version of himself, his brothers, and many of the pack's youths, a gallant story about a wolf named Osprey. Coming into their second year, the young dragon's legs had grown long and lean, and they propelled him forward until he launched upwards to stand upon the rock that Sorcha had sat upon for her story telling. Perhaps come this summer she would sit here again and tell stories to his younger brothers and sisters. Surely Rhaegal would accompany them - naturally to keep an eye on them, not to hear more of Sorcha's tales...

The blonde brother moved towards the stream, glancing back to make sure Kalseru had kept up with them as well. Their decision to host this event had impressed their mother - especially seeing as they'd made an open invitation to any wolf in Moladion turning two this spring, not just those of their allies. For organizing all of this, the two had been promoted to Emissaries of the pack. And now Viserion felt as though this event had a lot to live up to, so he wanted to make sure nothing went wrong. What if all the wolves got here, and then no one knew what to do? Could the group sustain themselves just by talking to one another? Viserion would do his best to facilitate interactions - introducing wolves who had not met before and perhaps offering to show others the best vantage point from which you could see up through the trees and to the highest peak of Spirane. Worse yet, what if no one came at all? The firm and perhaps somewhat overly powerful nudge of his brother's nose into his shoulder sent him slightly off balance, but actually seemed to steady him in another way. Viserion nodded to Drogon with a smile, before settling his nerves and jogging over to the stream by which Rhaegal had already perched.

Drogon ensured that Kalseru had joined them before moving back towards the edge of the wide open space. While these types of things were more his siblings' forte, he could not discredit their value. After all, it had been within this very setting, at Sorcha's storytelling, that he'd first met the girl he searched the periphery for now. He and Semele's friendship had only grown stronger from that point onward. Now he sought the comfort of her presence, knowing that soon many wolves would fill the peaceful clearing. Today it would seem she would serve more so as his shield than the other way around, and he knew that from the moment she arrived he would be glued to her side.

It was not long before they were joined by another, and Viserion's ears pricked forward as he glanced towards the oncoming wolf. It did not matter who they were - pack mate, ally, friend, or stranger - the white fringed tail of the young man gently waved back and forth as a smile broke across his features, glad that the event he and Kalseru had planned would not be a total flop. "Hello there, welcome to Spirane!"
