aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

If I Look Back I am Lost

The gray and white femme watched as the pup greeted her with excitement bubbling off her. She smiled easily to the younger ess, remembering when she was so excited about life that everything made her happy like that. Her smile deepened when she saw Hellene lean into her daughter at the words of praise that Khaleesi gave her. The snow colored femme swiped her tail along her mother, seeming to enjoy the quick affection. Then it was all business as Hellene showed them some of the basic plants. When she finished, the energetic femme was the only one to speak, and her happiness was beginning to ebb onto herself, and she was smiling more in their presence than she had in a while. When Hellene made sure that they had no questions, she gave them all a task to complete. "Well then, to test your knowledge, I want you each to go out and find each of these plants within the terra. There are some plants that look similar to them, so look carefully and then go and grab them. We are going to practice using them on ourselves." Doubt filled her for a moment, worried that she would not get the correct herb, but before she could dwell on that too much Khaleesi bounded over to her and Sebring.

The white female was excited to hear that she was going to get tested on her new skills. She knew to some it would be nerve racking, but she was always excited to see how much she was learning. She quickly ran over to Sebring and Daenerys, plume continuously wagging behind her. ”Want to look together? I want to go start near the river!” Before either of the females could answer she was bounding off through the trees, keeping her green orbs peeled for any plants that looked similar to what her mother had shown her. When she got near the stream that ran through the territory, she paused for quick drink before scanning the area. She saw that Daenerys had followed her, maybe because she did not know the territory like the others that lived here. ”Did you find anything yet Daenerys?” If Sebring had come with them as well, she would also see if the other adult had found some herbs. Daenerys spoke up, ”Not yet. Let’s keep looking and take our time.” Khaleesi barely heard the words that the older female said, seeing a plant that looked somewhat familiar to her. It had a pinkish/red hue to it, so she thought it must be poppy, even though it was not the same exact color from the herbs that Hellene had showed them. She bounded over, grabbing the plant in her jaws before turning to look to the other varg with her, bounding back through the trees to her mother.

Daenerys watched as Khaleesi excitedly ran through the trees, clearly eager to get started. With a smile to Sebring a wag of her plume, Dany followed the other femme. She caught up to her at a river where Khaleesi asked if she had found anything. She was not in a rush to find something, wanting to make sure that whatever plant she may bring back was correct. With a frown she saw Khaleesi grab something that resembled poppy, but was a different shade of red. Before she could tell this to the white femme, she was already bounding back through the trees. She was too excited to realize her mistake, but she would learn. Making mistakes was the best way to learn actually. And so Daenerys sniffed around, remembering the scents of the plants that Hellene had shown her. She went to the plant that Khaleesi had taken, and had no idea what it was, so she continued on. After a little while, she found something that looked and smelt familiar. It was the same shade of red as the poppy that Hellene had shown them, and so she believed it was, and gathered it in her jaws delicately. She trotted back to the clearing that they had gathered at and saw that Khaleesi was already back, looking proud of herself.

Dany sat down besides the excited femme and put her plant down at her paws. Once Sebring returned, Khaleesi spoke up quickly, the words tumbling from her. ”I found some poppy!” She pushed it towards her mother to look at, pride still clear on her features. Daenerys did not want to correct the femme, so she waited to see what Hellene would say before speaking up. ”I believe I have found some poppy, Hellene.” The gathered females waited to see what their teacher would say to them, and the two that already spoke waited to see what the third student had brought.


OOC: So I know nothing about plants >< so I thought Khaleesi could just get something random, thinking it’s poppy, just to keep things exciting =p If it’s another actual plant then great, but feel free to make something up if you’d like =)
