Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

spring had arrived in moladian, settling on the land in the form of melted snow and warm breezes.

the arrival of her favorite season had lifted sariel’s spirits to the point that she felt comfortable to leave the borders of diveen and head for the loner lands. the emerald eyed woman had no real destination in mind, just the urge to stretch her legs and so she ventured forth. bird songs twinkled merrily through the air and despite the warmth blooming against her shoulders, the mildest of breezes protected her from becoming uncomfortably warm, and once again sariel was reminded why she loved the spring so very much.

sariel did not hesitate to cross the border of diveen when she reached it, easy strides placing her into the loner lands with ease. the sandy ground was warm beneath her paws and she wiggled her toes with a laugh. she set off once again at an easy pace, content to just be for the time being. there was a logical reason she enjoyed spring: there was no overbearing, suffocating heat as there was in the summer, no rough noise of fallen leaves (or the ticks they often brought) as in fall, nor was there the bone-chilling cold of winter. all in all, spring was the most gentle of the seasons, much like sariel herself.

as she dipped farther into the fields, heading away from the lake and towards the open plains, lighthearted laughter came distantly into alert ears. sariel paused in her stride, tilting her head as it came again. a smile bloomed across charcoal lips as she changed her initial direction in favor of where the laughter had come from. as she drew closer, the scents of men and women alike kept her nose twitching, having grown more familiar with the scent of diveen over the past weeks. she paused at what she felt was a comfortable distance, lowering to her haunches as if to watch the mocha girl play.
