so let's get high here in the moonlight // adelheid

STRACK
Adelheid wears her curiosity on her face as if it is the only expression she ever experiences, but he does not call her out on it. He knows that he has reached a point with her that may cause her to disobey orders from her family, or perhaps she was not even supposed to venture from the Peak without her herd's knowing, and moving farther away from her home was something to balk over, but the stallion does not want to force her into something she is not comfortable with. He waits patiently with a pleasant expression on his dun face, curious in his own rite about the filly and the adventurous side of her that he can slowly see surfacing. She extends her neck to him and Strack moves his muzzle to lessen the space between them, as well, but he refrains from touching the black varnish girl.

She looks sheepish and innocent when she gives into her curiosity and the Nez Perce stallion can't help but find it endearing. Quiet laughter escapes him and he pivots his muscled frame in the direction of the Falls, dark chocolate eyes gleaming as he looks over his shoulder at the filly of the Peak, "Then let's go find some magic in the Falls, shall we?" He sets off at a slow trot, pleased with the young companion he's found to accompany him on his exploration.

It doesn't take them long to find the Falls — all they had to do was follow their ears and the roaring water led their way. He chances a look over at the draft cross filly, a smirk finding its way onto his dark muzzle. "Well? Want to swim?" He takes off suddenly, long legs eating up uneven ground. He nears the basin of water at the bottom of the waterfall and bounds into it with unbridled enthusiasm. The cool liquid splashes around him, soaking the speckled stallion to his head, loud laughter escaping him as he turns to see where Adelheid is.

"There's magic here, I can feel it. Maybe if we search behind the waterfall, we will find it."
