Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

It is not too often that new wolves come to these borders seeking anything more than a scrap of food or easy passage elsewhere. I cannot say why - perhaps it is that they misunderstand the shore. They see my reluctance for alliance as a betrayal; they see neutrality as chaos. Whatever the case, they see a more fulfilling life (it seems) under the fist of others, never to see their own individuality to fruition. Just a number, never a name. And so, I am pleased in a sense to find this woman here. Young, healthy, keen eyes. It is a good sign and yet, I still must be cautious. For every healthy, keen eyed wolf, there is one with eyes too keen.

I am not surprised to find Tristan watching diligently. It seems he is making efforts to see his ambition through. I wonder if he is aware that this strange wolf, Dieloch, has come seeking the very same position; he is already a father, Dieloch, and perhaps he has years of experience. Yet, I see only Tristan here now. There is more said with that simple action than the former actions of another. I will be certain to remember this situation and what he says - as he watches me, I also watch him in my peripherals. I watch for any flinch or twitch, any indication that he has picked up on anything else that might elude me. So far, he seems comfortable and so, I allow myself to feign the same comfort, softening as best as I can though there is still a rigidity in my limbs and muscles. When he grows curious, I nod towards him. It is a curious thing to say, after all, and so I am curious for such an answer too.

There is familiarity to her, after all. It is not in her scent but rather the creases of her face; the shape of it, perhaps, or the way it holds expression. I am curious of that alone, let alone how she is somehow linked to Glorall. I know she is not of Tesseract's blood for she is too large and distinctly separate to him; Cersei is here, too. If she had sensed a sibling, I have no doubt she would have taken to the borders long before Tristan or I. In a sense, she operates as a watch dog for that threat. This woman, however? Who is to say? "I care little for family affiliation, you must understand. Still, I am curious. Your parents are?" I allow her the space to answer such a question, waiting as patiently as possible though the desire to know has increased with this alleged return. However, I am quick to bring our conversation back to the now of it all: "Perhaps a more important question, however, is what I shall call you."
