Inanna continued to shake between the paws of Zeus, her mismatched eyes zipping frantically between the big male and the scary female. His words slowly started to sooth her, the deep male voice resonating in her. There was power behind the voice, a strength that came with being a large male. The tiny girl did not pick up on the confusion that was taking over the adults. All she knew was this woman snapped at her, and this man was big, strong, and told her she was going to be okay! He said she was safe, so she believed she would be.
The large white body above her crouched to protect her. Inanna snuggled herself deeper into his large bulk. Her white coat blended in with his, all save the darker smudge on her shoulder. The closer to the big body she got, the less she started to shake. Fear started to melt away from her the more this new savior assured her she was safe.
Until the terrifying female touched him! Everlast stepped forward to press her face against him! Inanna’s eyes widened in horror. “No!” she howled, rushing forward, her puppy fluff bristling to make her as big of a puff-ball as she could be. Round baby fangs bared to the gums she launched herself at Everlast’s feet before darting back to the safety of Zeus’ mass. The other female kept talking to him as though they were friends, and Inanna attacked again in a flash before making a retreat, tripping over her own paws in her haste to hide herself again.
Whimpers turned to growls. Her hero promised to protect her, and protect her he will! While they both drive the scary tail biter away before she eats both of them!
