Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

For a moment at least the golden child pays little attention to the white wolfess whom has paused a few yards from him. Emerald eyes brush over her, offering her a curious look before he simply continues on his own journey. She is inconsequential to him, a passer-by and nothing else and as such the brown eyed-browed boy lopes forward another few strides as the wind hisses around him and the threat of oncoming rain grow only more real. Rhett pauses before eyes turn upward, scowling at the sky with no small measure of defiance for its efforts to threaten rain- though he knows it is already to late, he can smell the rain in the air, surely about to fall and soak him. Niviaq would be so displeased and he would be forced to endure a longer then normal grooming session while Pan surely lectured him on all the shelter options he had neglected to take. The sudden appearance of the white wolfess closer to him however sees the young male brought to a halt. Why was she staring at him? Wariness readily floods his gaze now, eyes narrowing as heckles bristle ever so slightly in unease and he begins to shift his path to go around her. He hardly needed some well-intentioned adult attempting carry him back home. He could manage on his own, he is sure, the boy perhaps somewhat misguided in his belief of his own prowess and yet what young boy isn’t?

She places herself right before him then, her eyes meeting his own as he takes another step back, ears laying backwards now as he continues to back away, lips parting to speak- to tell her he didn’t need any help and that he would find his sister alone when her own words suddenly erupt amongst the rumbling thunder. Coming with her? For a moment he stares almost blankly towards her before he has the audacity to scoff, emerald eyes watching her critically.

“I don’t think so-.”

His words once more fail to fail reach fruition however before she lunges suddenly forward to grasp him by the golden ruff, ripping him off his feet as she lunges forward and the sky opens up to toss rain down atop them both. Her hold on him is awkward, he is a large child, much larger then his sister and many others of his age, a throwback to Indus and Wild Justice before him- her teeth bruise at his skin, his wild struggling and kicking only seeking to bruise him further as her teeth press against him, not cutting, yet digging into his flesh as he twists violently in an effort to slash at her with his own claws.

“Unhand me!”

Whether he has managed to scrape her or not remains to be seen, the female stumbling from his weight and the uneven, slick earth beneath them, his rear dunked unceremoniously in the mud as she does. The action causes a yelp of surprise from the child of Pan and Niviaq as his captor continues to race onward and he has little option save but to dangle painfully from her jaws in an effort alleviate his discomfort (from at least one end) as baby growls rise in his throat and she stumbles again.

“Where are you….ow!.....be careful woman! I….oh forget it you daft creature you’ll do what you want won’t you?”

Words had never been an issue for the boy, not truly, his vocabulary shockingly extensive for a boy so young and yet what else could be expected from a child of such blood? The white female plunges into the trees, a branch colliding with his middle and momentarily taking the words from him as he yelps out again. It is something of a relief to be out of the rain and yet any moment in which Everlast’s grip may loosen sets the boy struggling wildly again, Rhett taking the opportunity of the cover of the trees and the silence from the storm they provide to shriek suddenly and at the top of his lungs.

“ABDUCTION! ABDUCTION! STRANGER DANGER!”

If that didn’t get someone’s attention he hardly knew what would, his heart beating heavily in his chest with each passing moment, the boy more afraid then it surely showed and yet some part of him staunchly refused to cower. Fear was useful, but not when it clouded the mind, emerald eyes rapidly searching for escape.

“ABDUCTION!”
