The breeze ruffled her rust tinted fur ever slightly as she layed by riverside. Chocolate paws rested in the water, occasionally rising and padding down to create small waves. A small smile lingered on the girl’s face as she watched the movement, imagining tiny creatures dancing along the reflections of the ripples. Taika’s emotions had been taking her for a wild ride, it was settling to be able to sit next to the river and enjoy the fall air around her. The amber and crimson leaves littered the ground, creating a circle around her that she blended fairly well with. As the wind blew again her smile grew. Just because life had become shockingly complicated did not mean she needed to keep it that way. Slowly and with overly exaggerated movements, the fae gypsy got to her paws, stretched, and straightened. Banner waved lazily behind her. Tongue rolled out of her mouth. Out of nowhere, she pounced on a small pile of crunchy leaves. A gleeful yip sounded, followed by more as she continued her mad jumping dance over the dead leaves. The yips turned to laughter, the pounces shifted to her paws sliding the crunchy leaves around. It was not long before she had pushed a lot of the leaves into small pile. She leapt away from her creation, body falling to the ground while her tail remained wagging madly in the air. No warning at all and she raced through her pile, barking and yapping at the leaves that were thrown into the air. She continued to race and run, snapping at air even though the leaves had fallen from it. Joy started to fill her again while she reminded herself why her life was worth living.
