Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

are the dead really silent?

The spirits of these women were strong, the pulse of the world around us stronger. Whether it had been the suggestion to use the energy or the natural call of it, what we had come together to create was beautiful and magic. Strangers, knowing nothing about one another, none of us seeming to care, trusting and combining with each other to become one movement and many at the same time. The two women danced on their hind feet, their heads in the sky, their steps fantastically graceful in poses that could have easily been painful if it had not been for the call of the dance. I continue to keep my body low, though the desires grip me and I rise to stand beside them at times, twisting myself and stepping between them, a spirit moving between the living, bowing with respect towards the elder white fae, enjoying the youthful energy that had come to grip her.

Movements stop, but music continues to grip us. The brindle and colorful lady lifts her voice into the air, singing her joy into the wind. I can feel the smile pull further on my lips. My own tones rise to twine around her’s much as my body had moments before. Her joy is overflowing, filling the body, blood, bones, and now air around us all. Her song continues to echo through the trees even as she moves her attention elsewhere. They curl up together on the ground, their contentment and happiness as infectious as their energy. My tail sways through the air behind me. “You danced and sang beautifully.” I assured the timid one, my voice earnest through my breathless pants. “You both do.” My large form lowers to be beside them, moving to be against them. Though from different lands, different realms, and different times, I felt an unspoken understanding that there was peace and acceptance between us. We could be and we could leave as easily and peacefully as we had come. As though everything and nothing had happened.
