sing the song with the heart of the people
There is such an innocent excitement to Inanna that Natu cannot help the way her icy blue eyes soften on her, the way her lips curl in a pleasant expression, almost tender. Children were so beautiful. They were souls that needed guidance and a firm foundation. She tried hard to provide such things for her children. Ankh was angry with her, she knew, but her daughter would come back to her once she got past her childish tantrum - she would grow and every day Natu would feel more proud of her. She loved her sons, their stern countenances and strong natures. Apparently Thor had been expressing himself to Inanna and she liked him, which make Natu chuckle. It was pleasing to know that her son was making friends. He was certainly an adventurous boy and she believed he would grow up to be great.
"Ah, well the beach is fun too," she says calmly, amused by the amount of information that the girl was spewing in such a short time. The rock had upset her, clearly, but it amused Natu to no end to hear the girl talk about it like she did. It had to die, she said, and the alabaster femme's eyebrow went up in surprise, suppressing a snicker. Sif must be her sister, Natu deduced and nodded resolutely as Inanna spoke. "Maybe I can see her draw sometime. I bet she draws lovely images, doesn't she?" Plus she wanted to know more about the pups in the pack because they were the future and she aimed to be the judge of the pack so she needed to know them all.
Confusion bloomed on Inanna's face as she tried to comprehend what Natu was saying and she tilted her head at the youth. It seemed Inanna was half practical and half imaginary but who knew which was which? It was good to learn these traits about others. "Oh, I see," Natu says in agreement before grinning down at her. "I have every belief that you would but you shouldn't need to. Tell me, Inanna, what do you wish to do with your life when you get older? Do you want to be a hunter? A scout maybe? You seem good at finding things and tracking them down like a scout."
