She heard the rumbling call of the shadow not too far from where she was, on her daily patrol of the border and refreshing of scents. Her ears of white perk up on her head, which lifts on this cold winter's day. In the distance, her red eyes focus on what is the shadow and another figure unknown to her. It is hard to tell the details, with the distance being enough to not get good detail.
Her long limbs and lithe body moves at a steady pace towards the two. Her hackles of coal, ash, and flame and initially raised, but she knows that the shadow is not in a stance of attack. This one with him is not of pack, not yet, as has never been welcomed into the fields before, but the shadow is not on the defense or filled with aggression. Her hackles lower the closer and closer she gets, her black-lined eyes falling to the female and observing her carefully.
There was something uneasy about the female before her. It was not like her meeting with the dark leader, who brought a sense of confidence and comfort. Flare eyed her, approaching to stand next to Tobias on his other side. She was wary of this other female, but the shadow did not chase her. He did not drive her away and thus Flare felt, for now, there was no threat to worry about. It does not mean her eyes arn't on watch and her ears are not combing the air for threats from the stranger. She is just that- a stranger, and if the shadow wishes her around, then Flare will find a place for her in her life.
She will stand besides Tobias, her ears lifted to listen to the fields. She knew the dark leader should be approaching soon- but Flare was always on the lookout for threats. Her nose lowers slightly to sniff and smell, to absorb the world around her in complete silence. The other had scents from afar upon her, and was not of other packs from what she could tell. Much was considered in the silence mind of Flare as she awaited the approach of the dark leader at the side of the shadow- for every flame must cast a shadow, and it is her shadow that she follows in the end.
