Cheerful as could be, the innocent puppy followed her saving wolf down whatever path he would lead her. He had saved her from the crazy wolf who tried to eat her, and he would protect her from whatever else was out there. Obviously this wolf meant only the best for her and would not let her come to harm. After all, only nice wolves helped other wolves. So she trusted this man.
Walking beside him, she looked up at the sky as the clouds slowly started to darken the world around them. She could feel the power building in the atmosphere. It was terrifying and exciting. He had said they were going to be in the storm itself. Her heart thumped hard against her chest at the prospect. The excitement grow in her small body as the storm continued to roll through the sky. Every passing second it got darker, and the girl drew closer to Zeus’ large body.
Careful to step in exactly the same places he did, Inanna followed him to the rock and into the cave. Her gaze was focused on him, trusting that he knew where they were going and where they were. At this point, without him she would be hopelessly lost. It did indeed start to turn cold, and Inanna pressed herself into Zeus’ thick fur, snuggling into the warmth though her eyes were glued to the display that was starting to paint itself outside. Her tail beat heavily against the wolf’s side as well as the stone they laid on. As rain fell she glanced briefly up at the big wolf, giving him an excited smile.
Looking back outside, her body stilled. It was almost as if she were holding her breath.
