It was strange if this she-wolf didn't know that snow was drinkable. Everywhere Amber had been, everyone knew you could lick the snow for a drink. It was best that it did not come from the ground, too high of a chance of getting sick. Getting sick, out here alone, was in no way an actual option. No one would be able to help or save her, and the chances of survival were very low. Even this young wolf shouldn't have to see her die of some invisible force within her. That's why, Amber stayed to what she had learned, and always licked trees for water.
Now the younger wolf was doing exactly as Amber had done. Was this some type of sign, or was this wolf simply being silly again. She would not doubt it, and why suddenly did she care? The she-wolf had never really cared before, and she wasn't about to start caring now. So instead, she pushed away her thoughts and simply watched the younger wolf do what they were doing.
"Did you not know that?" Her rough voice asked suddenly, more confused and annoyed than surprised. Why would someone not know about that? It hadn't crossed her mind that people could be from different locations.
