A season of being home and back on the beaches of Glorall had done wonders for the young lady. Her body was still slight, having never really recovered from her time fending for herself. The shining white base of her coat had regained its luster, and the patches of color had begun to shine through. Eyes that had grown dull were now alight again. The blue and violet gaze shined with the black flecks that dotted their depths. There was a sadness in them, though. Since her return home she still missed the big wolf that had saved her life. Her niavity and innocence set aside the fact that Zeus had seemed to abandon her in the cave those seasons ago. She refused to believe that the wolf had left her to die. Just as she refused to believe her parents had either forgotten about her, had not noticed she had been missing, or could not find her. Her deep love for those around her held her true, though it might have been blinding to her young eyes.
Just over a year old now, she walked the sands of the beaches, sticking her nose in holes that had once excited her. Chasing the crabs through the reeds had been one of her favorite pass times, but had fallen to the wayside in place of other wonders she had seen. Over the expanse of water a fall storm had formed over the ocean. Miles out, there was a view of it from the shores but it would not hit the land. Nor would the noise and power of it be felt by those who walked the sands. Duo colored eyes watched the lighting play across the horizon and the girl sighed softly.
A howl came to her on the wind. Snow white ears flicked to catch it and her heart raced. Eyes went wide and she raced off along the well worn paths of Glorall. She knew that voice. Nothing could make her forget the deep voice that had resonated against her in the dark of a storm, filling her ears with thunder. Her excitement was a fire, sparking a grin on her face as she ran.
The smile and happiness vanished with the speed of lightening when she saw the state that her savior was in. His leg was twisted and broken and he was clearly in pain. Inanna lowered herself to the ground as she inched forward, whining in concern.
“You came back!” Her tail wagged once, her face shining for a moment before darkening again. “But… you’re hurt…”
